Alabama typically lets the starter carry the load, then has a running back to spell him. Very rarely has Alabama split the reps (generously) among more than two running backs in a season.

If there is one thing LSU does well, it is distributing the ball with running backs.

Yeah, not sure how this troll of an argument gained so much traction. The only reason Yeldon wasn't featured this year was because he couldn't handle the role as well as his predecessors.

and yet he still managed a higher percentage of the carries than any RB ever under Miles (54%)

edit: nevermind that's not true. Stevan Ridley had a really high percentage in 2010 but Jefferson had over 100 carries that year so it's an outlier

lsu ran the ball 472 times this year, compared to alabamas 426

hill ran for more yards than yeldon on 15 less carries

The awesome part is seeing Bucc and trey act like bama and lsu are 50/50 right now for fournette.

I'm hoping they are just trolling

i think they are. you could probably show them a pic of Fournette and they'd have no idea who he was.

That is false. We rotate backs like no program in the country.

Based on what.

Our top 2 RBs carried for 44% and 22% while LSU carried for 37% and 16%. Not that much off and UA's top 4 RBs carried the ball 78% of the time and LSUs top 4 RBs carried the ball 81% of the time.

I agree LSU rotates the ball around but LF would not carry it much more at UA and with the RB depth UA would probably carry it less his 1st two years.

exactly, which is why its a stupid argument...both schools are probably top 2 in the country in rb rotations so what the hell does it even matter?

Kind of reminds me of a certain fan base that camped out on the coaching changes board when they all were 100% certain their coach was staying.

The numbers are only close because you didn't have a true number one. Compare the numbers from the entire tenure of Saban at bama and miles at LSU.

I didn't say the rotation of Alabama is the reason he is coming LSU. I said his dad has a plan that fw and les have agreed to for carries.
