Just now starting to look into recruiting since the season is over. UT has signed big classes the past two years, but does anyone know how many they can take this year? Also seems like they aren't getting as many highly recruited kids this year. Are they supposed to finish strong?

We are only taking 20 this year. We've got a shot to close with a few highly regarded guys, but this class is more comparable to OM last year.

2017 should be a big year for us. Even more so now instate with the addition of Shoops to the staff.

19 or 20. You can expect some of the lower rated guys to commit elsewhere as we draw closer to NSD.

Tennessee is using this year to add to there depth chart. I believe we may be in it for 2 or 3 more 4-5* recruits. But overall this years recruiting is for depth.

Isn't this pretty much every recruiting class ever?

Its a good class for what we needed.

We just need to close with Nigel Warrior and a really good WR and another great DL and we will be fine.

Our class has the following.

#1 DT QB
Quality RB
Good JUCO WR
(Need a great HS WR)
Overall Good OL class
Solid DL
(need Brown or some DL big fish after losing Kongbo here)
Good LB's
Great CB
(Need Great S)

With Butch not being able to sell immediate playing time and with limited numbers and the State of TN having a down year we aren't going to be in the top 10, but we will have a solid class that meets needs and be ready for another top 5 class next year.

Lol look at how salty these people are that we signed 2 big classes. We might as well have been on probation when we hired dooley, he didn't recruit 1 offensive lineman one year. Everybody apparently thought 32 freshman should have put us in the ncg first year. I'm pretty sure Florida is doing it this year also so you fellas sure to bring that up afyer signing day. Also while we're at it, when people have butch so much grief about taking 6 years to build a championship program, how long has Dabo been at clemson? Add to that question, would you consider him a "joke" of a coach? He still hasn't won a championship.
