its amazing how myopic yall are. just laughing at how obsessive yall are at one upping A&M and the lengths yall will go to do so is not the same as sitting here and crying about how garbage recruiting rankings are. its just accepting yalls pull you have on those sites and just shrugging your shoulders and going "whatever" on the fact that you have to pull so many hilarious shenanigans just to have a "better" class on paper when the difference may be less than 10 total points. its legitimately hilarious

As usual Texas class is all hype - no substance. A few good players, and a bunch of mediocre artificially inflated rankings
Half of the their four stars are low three* at best. Owens is a workout warrior, but can't play football worth a crap. Worst 5* in history

247 didnt even start until Shannon Terry sold Rivals.
Burton was a major part in both Rivals and 247 but Shannon Terry was the one in charge.
247 is owned by CBS sports. The same channel that holds the first tier rights to the SEC.

Look, all anybody can legitimately ask for in the decade of Jimbo is sloppy seconds. Texas fans goal is just to be in the footnotes/maybe get a crappy bowl game.
When someone told me we might finish within ten places of the A&M juggernaut - the Bryan Behemoth, if you will, I just laughed and ignored it. But to be within five? Hot damn!

I agree some of the players got a bump that was probably a little bit too much, and they do have pull at 247. A huge goal of theirs is clicks, and bumping Texas' class to top 3 brings in more Texas fans.
I think you're taking it a little bit too far. Texas has an outstanding receiver class that is one of the best of all time (OU's might be the best) and some solid DBs. LBs and DBs are good as well.
It's a top 5-10 class.

We all know where this is headed. The pathology of aggy will work itself into a frenzy to the point of self destruction and take down everyone around them.

Truthfully none of these rankings of Sophomores and Juniors should be taken seriously because people mature at a different rate.
If you are a man at 16 already you are going to look a lot better than someone who matures later.
You see the difference by their senior year.
A lot of former Top 100 Recruits drop and players who were former 3 star make jumps into the Top 100 or 50.
