He's a tackle all the way. He had played DE last year and a lot of coaches were high on his potential. This year he's gotten to show his blocking skills and he's #2 tackle on our board behind little.

Just reported by an Arkansas recruiting expert that Diesch decommitted when Arkansas told him he couldnt visit other schools

Seems this was a mutual parting of ways then

interesting.....

Hate when schools do this.

Apparently he asked ot visit others, and he was told he could but he wouldnt be considered a commit to the staff. I guess i worded it a bit wrong and made it sound worse than it was. either way, he chose to look around

The clock was ticking on Diesch jumping ship, you can spin it as mutual, but your staff would have loved to sign him.

If that was the case, i doubt Diesch would have asked permission. either way hes not a commit anymore

He never stopped taking visits, he's visited college station at least 2x since committing . He may have told them he was going to OV.

I highly doubt he asked permission for anything.

Look man, you have the right to believe what you want. You just want to argue with me. I realize you think aTm is superior to Arkansas. Ive been reading your posts for awhile. Think what you want, Im just sharing info.

ETA: I think its normal for commits to make schools aware of taking other official visits, unofficial visits mean nothing, especially when they are in the recruits back yard

Wherever he ends up i guarantee you he earns back those 30 or so spots he dropped in the rankings when he committed to the Hogs. Commits always lose spots when they commit here

I didn't mean to be contentious, I just think the mutual agreement to part ways because of visits is one of recruiting's biggest "coach speak" answers.

Arkansas is the team I dislike the least in the west

I like the team bias narratives as much as the next guy, but I think this one is genuinely because he has some senior film at his actual position now.

He was originally ranked as a de, he started being recruited as a tackle with no film, now he has film at his position so they feel comfortable bumping him.

He had a Bama offer when he committed to Arkansas, so I doubt that.

Lefty's not wrong. He's repeating what our most trusted recruiting guy said. I know Diesch had been taking visits to College Station regularly and that many suspected he would switch for that reason, but that's been ongoing since the day he committed to Arkansas. It may just be that our coaches finally thought they needed to lay down an ultimatum, because they wanted to know what Diesch would do now, rather then later. I mean, how many visits to College Station do you need to know what it's like there?

Regardless, I think Diesch and Arkansas have probably parted ways for good.

Its more important to Arkansas because of the limited spots. We havent had the attrition most SEC schools have had so its more important to be "all in"

Its really as simple as that
