I believe they were both Auburn grads.

Lee Ziemba was indeed a good player. Arkansas was never going to get him, parents were Auburn grads.
We still tried however, was not happening!

I mean he didn't even have a composite score earlier. It was NA across the board.

The kid should be a high 3* or low 4* IMO. He'll probably never get ranked much higher than his initial evaluation though. He plays at a small school and strikes me as the type that won't go to the elite camps since he's already committed. He won't get much exposure so he won't rise but he probably won't fall either at least.

Disclaimer: I could obviously be completely wrong and have zero clue in regards to what I am talking about.

Good thing you put that disclaimer up. You literally have no clue what you are talking about

Yeah I'm not sure what in my statement could entail me to "have no clue." I would definitely like to here his reasoning behind it.

You don't know the kid or the coaches at Smackover so why act like you know what he will do. It always amazes me to see people talk about things they obviously have no clue about. The kid is an elite talent. He has one chance to enjoy the process of going to camps and trying to be as highly rated as possible. He's going to do that....even though you think he won't. lol

At what point in time did I say "I know?" In fact, I literally said he strikes me as the type which infers a 100% opinion. Nothing I said was claimed as a fact. Hence the disclaimer at the bottom. It was spelled out pretty clearly that it was an opinion. Please don't twist my words.

A better response from you, and one that could have led to an actual discussion, might have been "I have to disagree. I know the kid and he's going to camp next summer because he would like to obtain a higher rating. That's a personal goal that he has for himself." Much more rational and replaces opinion with actual facts.

Have you ever met the kid?

You must have met him to be able to even infer what he will or won't do.

Dude I literally put a disclaimer at the end of the post that clearly stated it's an opinion. It's really not that complicated.

Just next time you want to pretend like you know something, remember someone around here might actually know the people you are talking about.

TopHog, I too am very familiar with 2A/3A football particularly in South Arkansas. Not picking sides, but Cheshire is correct in that athletes from those schools DON'T get the exposure and rankings that they would elsewhere.

There are RARE occasions, Jamario Bell, Bryan Jones... but I dare say they would have been ranked even higher if they have been at a 'known' program like an Allen, TX or Jenks, OK etc... The biggest reason is seeing them against higher level competition.

I know Smackover's competition. Good kids busting their butts, playing their hearts out, but it's not exactly playing against top level athletes.

You're right we don't know the kid, but pretty well know the 'norm' for small school football. The kid is a great athlete and player, but he won't get as much hype BECAUSE he's a small school athlete.

Whether he goes to elite camps, don't know. But if he hopes to rise in rankings, he needs to.

Korliss Marshall's a perfect example of a 3a kid that didn't get the rating or exposure he deserved. I dare anyone to watch his senior highlight tape (like 17 minutes long) and tell me with a straight face that he couldn't play for just about anyone in the country. He was absolutely a high 4 star talent. Didn't matter though because he's from Osceola and not NLR or Fayetteville.
