Boom doin' work. It's been so long since we had a staff working the recruiting trail like this that I almost forgot what it felt like ... feels gooooood though.

Agreed ... but Boom is assembling the staff. He appears, so far at least, to be assembling a solid recruiting staff.

I just hope they can all coach'em-up. Time will tell.

You'll have a solid defense in a couple of years without a doubt.

Only question is the offense which I'm not too sure Why he went with the same OC as he had in UF

Maybe he thought Roper didn't get a fair chance in that one year at UF.

Roper gave him the best offense he had at UF. They were doomed by injuries after the 2nd game though on offense, but still they were putting up points fairly well.

Treon Harris did better under Roper statistically than he did with whoever is the new OC/QB guy at uf this year.

Roper also has a great relationship with our Elite 11 QB, Brandon McIlwain, and will help us keep him (not just from going to another school, but hopefully from going to MLB...although, if he gets offered the $3.5M contract wtih MLB, I won't hold it against him for taking it.)

Roper also had the best offense while at Duke that they've seen since the Spurrier era there 25+ years ago.

From what I have gleaned so far is that Roper was not the problem that last and only season. It was injuries and maybe a position coach or two. Hopefully that will be rectified with the new position coaches he is bringing-on. I dunno. We shall see. If he brings in the right WR and RB coach though, it could make a huge difference. Provided Roper coaches QBs I would guess, and then there is Shawn Elliott on the OLine, he's going to have to pick-up his game.
