Malik Jefferson never even attended an Aggie game until the very last game of the season.

Malik did what his Mom wanted and signed with stronghorn.

The stronghorns probably don't have a single 2016 recruit the Aggies would take a commit from.

What good recruits gonna sign with a program that is half empty for the first home game which turns into a dogfight with Rice?

Typically you WANT your prized recruit to visit for one of the last games.....keeps you fresh in their minds. Also, the Horns may not have any recruits Aggie "wants". But they do currently have the same number of 5*s committed......0. The same number of 4*s.......4. The rest are 3 Stars......Just like Aggie

And no, if you want a recruit, you want him on your campus early and often. Jefferson did what his Mom told him to do.

As the other posters said, Charlie Strong has been telling recruits to wait till they saw his team on the field.

Absolutely, Sumlin did everything he could to get Jefferson, other than tell him who the next DC was going to be.

When you can't get an in state guy on campus until the last game of the season, the recruit is just not interested.

nfllsu, you keep changing your post but evidently you don't follow pro football.

Last time I checked the Seattle Seahawks were a pretty salty NFL defense and they have two Aggies:

Free Safety - Steven Terrell
Defensive End - Michael Bennett

Fixed it for you ladies. A&M hasn't had a DB drafted in the first round in 12 years

I don't know if that is true or not, but - even if it is - you only have a few more months to say that. I really think Brandon Williams is going to get drafted. Not sure about Harris. Evans and Williams and Watts all have great shots as well, but they won't be coming out this year.

It's amazing how much more talent Sumlin has managed to bring in on defense. Chavis had them boys killing it last Saturday!

I don't think any of us have ever pretended like Sherman and Fran were good coaches...

stronghorn must be waiting until the last game to bring their prized recruits for visits.

They are actually calling all the recruits who were scheduled to come on Sept. 19th and telling them not to come that weekend.

stronghorn is either a visionary or he just doesn't want all those recruits seeing Cal light his team up!

I thought Fran was a great coach when we brought him over from Bama. Everybody did. We were all wrong. I still think Sherman is a very, very good coach, but he's only an average college head coach - he lacks the kind of personality that can recruit top talent and build energy around a program.
