Did he get hurt this year or was he benched? Appeared in three games and logged 6 total tackles

Not sure if injured but read a story that he(charleston) was projected to be the starter until Nolan turner decided to return for one more year. Turner is projected 4th rounder. This plus the unexpected improvement from frosh Andrew Mukuba = sit back and wait.
Charleston is apparently a great run stopper/tackler, which obviously we lack big time.
Not sure if Charleston will end up being a starter, but will add depth.

He was dealing with a hamstring injury, missed a couple games, and then entered the transfer portal in mid October

I guess everyone else is saying Mizzou is loaded and is a waste of a spot on the roster! They are smarter than Drinkwitz and see that our roster is mostly of 3* players and this 4* player is a huge get for Mizzou! Mizzou doesn't have good backups and depth. Everyone does this. Why isn't everyone not complaining when others get 4* player transfers?

I know Drink has been terrible with the Portal so you don’t know how it works.
He hasn’t lived up to the 4 star from out of HS so he got pushed down to a 3star transfer.
Kind of like how one of ours went from a 5 star to 4 star and our second one remained a 4 star.

Kind of weird. Our guy who “didn’t live up to his billing” was a starter on a playoff team and dropped in ranking.
But your guy who stayed a four star couldn’t even get on the field for a mediocre LSU team who had their depth tested at DE
Read in another thread that LSU played 10 DE this year and he didn’t receive a single snap. Yikes
