Well to be fair to the Coon, many of y'all were wrong about James qualifying. But none of y'all will own up to that.

It's like having an insane rebel fan say OM will win 7 games this year and the rest of us mock y'all for not believing something that crazy. Nick James qualifying in June is beyond mind blowing an I'll admit I wrong in that assumption

Regarding Quay, I was just saying shite about him because I knew it pissed you off. I have literally no clue what these kids grades look like because I have better shite to do.

Well, that's one prediction we got wrong. He gets them all wrong.

He actually didn't clear the NCAA until July I don't believe. He got into State in June(and moved to Stark), but was waiting on the NCAA clearinghouse. Just interpreting indirect statements by Balis, I don't think he was being allowed to work out with the team until this month(July semester).

Probably the same situation/NCAA delay as Ward, just with an ACT score that was taken several weeks earlier.

I'm glad Ward got in for you guys. Knew it was going to be close...

What's the latest on Shackelford? Will he get clearance to play this year?

According to Hugh Kettledrum the coaches are waiting to hear back from his doctors. If they say he's ready, then he's ready.

Since he hasn't been able to work out as much, he's about 10 pounds heavier than he should be. So he's got some work to do.

He's at 250lb and wants to be at 245lb. He will suit up in mid August, that's not in question. The question is is it worth using a year of eligibility if he's not 100%. Theres no way to determine that other than letting him play and see how behind he is. I honestly think if he's 100% by October it's worth it. 2 out of the last 3 games on our schedule makes or breaks our season.

Jesus, what a retarded message board.

I find it interesting how much these guys "know" about our football players' ACT scores.

He SCREWED UP now! all he had to do was fail it and go to juco for a couple years of misery and then come to MSU. That way his brother still gets his schollie. Now, he gets four years of misery and at least two of those being coached by a high school coach.

This is my fav

I think he could be pretty huge for your season as soon as he can come back... will DEF be a huge emotional boost! Seems like a great guy and tremendous leader both on and off the field...

What will Gross's role be early in the season? Will he start, or will he be eased into a role?

Holy Shite Whereisomaha.. That was incredible. 1st time I have ever actually been to 6-pack and I feel like I need to have my memory erased like in MEn In Black. There was not one piece of actuall conversation in the 2 pages I saw. The guy who claims your GPA doesnt change your Required ACT score has over 7000 posts.

Motion to ban anyone who links 6-pack..

Never been to our board but I truly hope it isn't that bad but something tells me it could be worse.

He'll be eased into a role. He won't start. He need size.

Unless we are incredibly awful on the DL, like worst than last year he won't do much. I wish he'd RS but I doubt he will. If he does play it will be at DE in running situations or DT in passing situations. Kids 270 dripping wet

People always put the new guys ahead of the older guys because they haven't proved to suck yet. But if you look at what we have on the DL, Channing will not start unless he is an absolute stud (fingers crossed) and Gross will be lucky to be third string, really lucky.

You can't tell me that Channing is stronger or more SEC ready than Jason Jones who is entering his 6th year in the our program, and he's second string. Channing may have a better DE body than CJ, but he can't be more talented after CJ has a solid year under his belt. If Gerald Rivers makes his grades Channing will have to be very solid and pick up our D quickly to make our two deep. He will have to be a complete stud to start, which I hope he is

Nafoom is very level headed just sucks because there isn't much traffic. SPS gave up on standards to have an increase in traffic and now it's just a joke
