It's true.

Bama had more offensive linemen drafted in the first round of the 2013 draft than LSU has had offensive linemen drafted in the first round in the history of their program.

Unless I'm miscounting.

Maybe you should learn more about your team before you go calling someone a dumbass.

I know man, isn't funny though? Rolling on the floor laughing was also my first reaction when I found out LSU has only had one OL drafted in the first round

No I actually read it different; Like "Bama put more OL in the first round last year than LSU did ever" as in LSU total # of 1st round picks in a year, not LSU 1st round OL picks.

Lets not get too full of ourselves now, huh?

You had two OL get drafted in the first round last year, congrats, but lets not act like that's a yearly occurance.

We didn't beat our chest in 07 when we sent 2 WR's in the first round and start saying that if your a WR and want to get drafted in the 1st round you have to come to LSU.

And lets not forget that NS was coach at LSU for a little period in time and wasnt sending OL to the NFL in the first round then so take it down a notch.

2013 NFL draft - 2 Bama OL taken in 1st round
2011 NFL draft - 1 Bama OL taken in 1st round
2009 NFL draft - 1 Bama OL taken in 1st round

That's 4 first rounders in the last 5 NFL drafts. Cyrus Koundjio will make it 5 first rounders in 6 NFL drafts. That's not a "yearly occurrence", but it isn't far off lately. The other poster's point is still valid. Bama had more first rounders from the OL taken in this NFL draft than LSU has in its history.

they have also recruited significantly better than LSU.

LSU has only had 1 or 2 top 100 OL signees from what I can recall.

Faulk and Collins. Both very good OL. Obviously Faulk was injured before what could have been a huge year for him in the draft and collins is on his way to being drafted in the first couple rounds.

And lsu fans are talking chit, thumping their chest, & making threads on here because L Collins was this past weeks sec O lineman of the week. Just think their excitement if he is drafted.

Some have, some haven't. However, the college coach's job is to get them drafted, and to get them drafted high. Bama has been very successful in putting offensive linemen in the NFL recently. What they do when they get there is up to them and their NFL coaches.

huh? They've produced enough financial security for their entire lifetimes if they manage their money properly. Like the other poster said, it is a college coach's job to get them to the league. It is their position coach's job in the NFL to get them to produce.
