Why though? A Clemson reporter doesn’t generate significant revenue by giving slanted news regarding a recruit they aren’t in the running for. On the other hand, local beat reporters literally put food on the table by keeping interest in a relevant topic open until the death knell. The SCAR 247 writers have everything to gain by twisting this story every which way, a Clemson reporter (in this case) doesn’t have anything to gain aside from just reporting the news.
Please review LSU beat reporters’ actions during Dylan Moses, 5/5, etc and get back to us lol.

To be fair, I don’t think gender has anything to do with it. It’s probably more likely just SC getting caught with their pants down on this one leading to mounting frustration in their fanbase.

I don't think that is the concensus at all. LSU fans have no idea, like everyone else, what's really going on.
In a vacuum, every LSU fan wants Burch.
However, if the actual truth was that Burch wanted to be at USCe, and his mom wanted him to be at LSU, then the kids wants needs to be what wins out. LSU fans don't want the kid forced to go to LSU.
