He was OC for the Ravens. He had some help on the other side of the ball.
Judging an OC by yards and scoring is the most accurate you'll get.

When you ask an NFL fan what defines the Baltimore Ravens, I wonder what he'll say? Potent offense? Smothering defense?
Let's look at those defensive rankings the past 5 years...
2008
2nd ypg - 3rd ppg
2009
3rd ypg - 3rd ppg
2010
10th ypg - 3rd ppg
2011
3rd ypg - 3rd ppg

17th ypg - 12th ppg
Only one finish outside the top 3 in ppg over the past 5 seasons. Anyone can call the OC "one of the best in the NFL" based on wins when he could only hit single digits once in ppg has a bit of downs in him. Especially when the guy on the other side of the ball barely lets the other team in the endzone all year long.
