Not sure if you are serious or not but special teams wins and loses games. We will miss Clark if Hutchinson can't throw lawn darts inside the 5 consistently.

Good pick up in an important aspect of the game.

He is serious, this is the #1 punter in the country and he's a 5 star in the kicker rankings. He's a 3 star according to the other services, but a lot of times they don't even rate kickers.

Great pickup.

A punter can flip the field and change momentum in a game quicker than anyone else on the field.

Tennessee used to win games with their punters . . those Colquit boys were devestating.

I remember a kid, he was the number #1 punter in the country outta Memphis, Germantown, that we signed twenty years ago this year (ETA: Courtney Levette) ... he never lived-up to the hype, but he was serviceable. Another couple of kickers for us though ... Ryan Succup, Adam Yates and Spencer Lanning who were Spurrier boys - not five stars but are playing in the NFL now.

Congrats on a great pickup Arkansas!

#1 punter? Bert can't recruit

Seriously tho, Nutt had success at Arkansas. However nutt refused to sign kickers. I believe tejada was the first kicker he signed and pretty sure that was just because of the whole Springdale 5 deal. Petrino changed that with the active recruiting and signing of kickers. Hocker being arguably the best recruit petrino ever signed and he just backed into him. The kicker we had committed flipped to I believe Texas and we signed our backup plan hocker instead. Arkansas fans all praised Petrino for actually recruiting and signing kickers after going through what we did with Nutt.

Anyway, after seeing the succss Nutt had at Arkansas without ever recruiting kickers, I'm sure that bodes well for Bert who runs a similar style but actually believes in recruiting and signing kickers. The future looks bright

Bama doesn't give scholarships to kickers either. It's lost them a few games due to missed field goals.
