I know I am old but this feat was accomplished by USC early in the 2000's. They had 8 5* one year and 6 5* the next.

Ah, don't think so

That USC class with 8 5* was the sickest class I have ever seen. As a matter of fact that class alone had something like 15 top 100 players

Let me do this for you the right way:
Best class ever, best ever 2 classes in a row , best ever 3 classes in a row, best ever 4 classes in a row, etc. Now we'll see if you have the best football team ever, best over 2 years ever, best over a 3 year period, etc.
If not, it's either bad coaching or recruiting isn't THAT important.
