I THOUGHT so. We've been told all along that we couldn't count any recruits back to 2011. Not sure why he thought differently all of the sudden.

yup getting drunk within the hour. We lose DGB. Now we use his scholly on a kid that was rumored to be trying to out eat mount cody during his initial recruitment...fml.

Well at least I'm glad I didn't rearrange a damn thing for NSD. I was looking at taking off work, getting a case of champagne and getting fruity smashed by 9AM.

ahhh, levity. Back to real life. This crap is too distracting, I've got deals to close and I'm fretting over trolling other mark fans like myself.

Sucks to lose out on the top guys, but we may never have a top 5 class, we'll just coach em up and develop players. We need the HS systems to get their act together and start prepping kids early to be D1 prospects or be National Merit Finalists if they're not fast on the field.

We weren't the past few years when we had bad classes as identified by the rest of the SEC and recruiting services...... Still beat them with the exception of Bama.

You realize those "bad" classes were higher rated than this "good" class, right?

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up walking on.

Jimbo has a helluva recruiting staff down there. My GF is a FSU alum, so she's happy as frick. But they need to start getting more wins. All of this recruiting, in a weak arse conference, and they still don't have anything to show for it.

It really is strange. Miami is in the same boat, too.

Is it coaching? Egos of the players? Bama and LSU don't have a problem getting their 4*-5*s to perform.

2008 was ranked bad, 2009 good, 2010 horrible, 2011 okay, 2012 okay.

247 wasn't very active if at all then so yea you're right on that one.

Point is, our best class was which was? '08 or '09 and it was like #19. Which really isn't very good by SEC standards.

FSU had some pretty severe injury problems this year on offense. So that was probably their biggest impediment. Defense was pretty awesome, I think.

With my luck, the year we finally get to go to a NC game we'll play FSU with 11 future NFL guys on defense.

2009 class was our best class according to Rivals @ 16th. Of course, Petrino says that the 2011 class at 34th or whatever was his best class to date.

If you will notice there is always 1 or 2 guys that go to mid majors or lower tier programs and blow up the competition. those guys should have gotten more offers but for whatever reason didnt. I think we are pretty much cornering the market on these kids and sprinkling in the elite guys that we can get. It's working out well so who am i to complain......still woulda been nice to get more of the elite everyone wants em guys...just once I want to flame someones shitty recruiting ranking.
