I forgot we have never beaten Bama or LSU.

Can we play a game of football before we say how shitty this class was? We've done more with less before and now we have a good class (you can disagree that's fine) so we will do good.

Good Lord dude. I had my little DGB flip out too, but to say we won't beat LSU? We do seem to have a block against Bama, but we're only one year removed from beating LSU.

The sky is not falling...

I could careless about DGB. I've been talking about defense for years.

Arkansas has always lost 2 or more SEC games ever year. Therefore, it's talent not coaching.

One player does not make a recruiting class.

Arkansas will be fine. Every consecutive year we have 9 to 10+ wins will only keep helping our recruiting.

Tennessee has 101,000 stadium and state of the art facilities also. However, when they had very high recruiting classes they also had awesome recruiting coordinators who signed national talent.

We haven't had both hand in hand yet. Step back from the ledge.

No idea. Last I heard they have been making calls and getting rejected.

The last three recruiting classes have had poor finishes, you cant deny it.

Time and time again we get a guy down to his top two and were on the wrong end of it more times than not.

After a sugar bowl appearance and top 5 finish last two years, our recruiting classes should be improving. and they're not.

Someone else talking truth.

So, what's so wrong with being disappointed in this class? Do I think it's underated nationally? Probably, our instate talent always get poor ratings. I'm just fricking frustrated with our inability to capitalize on our success. Maybe it's my fault for having unrealistic expectations.

BTW when dealing with offensive players it doesn't help that your OC leaves and on defense we get a new DC and all.

Our classes will be the same unless Arkansas start shitting out a dozen or so major D1 recruits every year.

So tell us how much less you could care.

On one hand you bash this class because of lack of "stars" then you make this bullshite statement.

Nothing but sometimes you need to look back at where we were and where we are now in regards to wins and national relevance. We are just NOW becoming relevant.

Correct, we are missing the recruiting portion and have for 4 years now.

I'm not on the ledge. As much fricking money as we donate I want better results and I'm allowed to vent all I want to whoever and however I want.

The program has improved and very happy for it. However, I do not like seeing a peak and that is possible without better talent.

We just replaced a considerable part of our staff. Maybe that's in the works? We also are putting a shite ton into new facilities. I think they know it's a problem and they are working on it.

When was the last time Arkansas had even a 1% chance at the #1 recruit in the nation?

I agree with this..

However, I'm big on defense and we did make strides there but are a ways away from having a championship winning defense.

Might be getting ducked because Arky is good right now I guess... or might be getting blackballed by Texas schools because the Longhorn overlords don't like the SEC making inroads into Texas

frick it, play a Boise, Oregon, Michigan, FSU, USC, or a Nebraska. It is taking a big risk but the way I look at it if you can't beat one of those guys you aren't going to win the SEC anyway - so there's very little lost in taking your shot.

WRONGGGGGG

quote:

They've done it before we never have.

Remind me. How long has Petrino been at Arkansas? When did Tennessee ever have to face Bama/LSU firing on all cyclinders?

quote:

Same in-state talent base go look it up.

Tennessee has more in state talent than Arkansas. Since 2001, the state of Arkansas produced 25 NFL draft picks. Tennessee produced 42. LINK

quote:

Which is about right just enough talent to win 10 games but can't beat LSU or Alabama.

Remind me. What's Petrino's record against LSU since he got to Arkansas?

Bama is a semi-pro team. We were 2 Ryan Mallett brain farts away from beating them last year.

quote:

We are now ranked in the high 20's.. That is going backwards.

But last year we were ranked even LOWER according to your precious recruiting services. So how, exactly, is that going backwards?
