I was a Bama fan from when I was a little kid. Even through the bad years. It would have been easy for a little rug rat to jump ship but I stuck with them. Im enjoying every minute of it.
The thought would have never crossed my mind. As a little kid I can remember listening to Bama games on the radio when games weren't on tv but 1 or 2 times a year.It actually makes me sick when I go to someones house and see one of those Ala/Aub divided house sign's. I mean as a Bama fan how could you let something like that into your yard or inside your home for that matter.... eeeewwwwwww!

PER BOL:

quote:

Perhaps Alabama’s biggest question entering signing day was answered when Lynchburg (Ga.) Brookville defensive tackle Korren Kirven committed and subsequently signed with the Tide in an early morning press conference. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Kirven cited academics and player development as two big reasons for signing with Alabama "Academics was a big deal in my decision. Alabama has a graphic design curriculum and my goal was to find a school that met my football needs as well as academics,” he said. "Alabama prepares you for the NFL. They are putting guys in the league left and right. I think out of all of my options, Alabama had the best thing going with developing guys." Kirven selected Alabama over in-state Virginia Tech and Tennessee with the full blessing of his father. "My dad was very high on Alabama. He didn't care where I played as long as it was a good program and I was happy." Much was made about Kirven’s relationship with one-time Tide recruiter and current Tennessee defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri, but in the end, Kirven sided with the program in Tuscaloosa. "Losing Coach Sal hurt a little bit, but I made my decision based on the program and not just a coach. I will still always have a relationship with Coach Sal. We got along great, but he wasn't even going to be my position coach at Alabama so I was cool with him leaving." Kirven sustained a broken ankle in the state playoffs and was out for the remainder of Brookville’s state championship season after having surgery. The Commonwealth native doesn’t foresee the injury affecting his on the field play in 2012. "I will be 100 percent this fall. I just got off crutches. I had pins and screws put in my leg, but there was no ligament damage so I won't lose a step." Kirven has a grade of 94 from 247Sports, making him a four-star prospect and the sixth best prospect in Virginia.

So with Kirven going Bama, where does that leave us the rest of the day?

Im certain that Gladney will not be a part of this class and Taylor also. Tomlinson seems out of play along with Goldman with Kirven being a DT.

Are we done for the day?

There are some who would suggest that Kirven came later in the game, but he is a phenomenal freak athlete and the staff has just as much confidence in his impact and ability as EG or any other DL in the country.

HUGE pickup IMHO.......
