According to my sources I still hear Mississippi State leads for Pollard.

The trainer mentioned how at LSU Saban had a defensive-end play center for LSU's basketball team

Not true. Marcus Spears and Michael Clayton attempted this, but both only lasted a few weeks.

A few guys I've talked with feel that Bama is in very good shape. Of course the people I talk with are biased towards Alabama and I'm sure your guys are biased towards State so what we're being told doesn't mean anything.

Reggie Ragland will likely play both fball and basketball, he was a beast at BJHS with Levi

He would provide good practice depth and maybe a minute or two in a game, but at 6'4 with a post player skillset, I don't think he could be that effective.

Even with the most important stretch of the season looming for the Tide, the UA coaching staff has stayed in constant contact with their prized recruit. “I talk to them maybe twice a week,” Hale said. “Usually, I talk to Coach (John) Brannen, but sometimes I talk to Coach (Anthony) Grant. We’ve been talking about my season, talking about their season, and they always ask how things are going in school and things like that.”

“I love the crowd that they bring to games, so I’m looking forward to playing there.”

Hale is hoping to set up a visit to Tuscaloosa soon.

Towards the end of the year, Hale was putting up more than 20 points a game. Although the 6-foot-8 prospect is gaining more recognition, his commitment to Alabama remains solid, and other schools have essentially stopped recruiting him

This guy is the #1 JUCO recruit according to some sites and he still has 3 years of eligibility left after this year. You may have heard of him before.

In no way, shape, or form do I want Cothron. I hope to goodness we aren't trying to recruit him again.

FWIW I didn't see Bama or Auburn on his list of schools.

Good. He's a cancer. Neither team should even try to recruit him again.

Wasn't his lack of effort one of the knocks on him out of high school? If he's a "relentless rebounder" now, maybe he's grown up a bit.

Still, that article is kind of old and I haven't heard anything about us recruiting him outside of that. We seem to be looking at some other guys.

I really don't think Alabama nor UK are recruiting him. Those ships have sailed. I'd be surprised if any high major went after him.

If I remember correctly his downside was he liked to play on the perimeter way to much for a player of his size and ability.

I'd take him in a heartbeat but we didn't just burn that bridge we nuked it.

We better have somebody better since we're in position to pass up on talent like his. We need a juco pf and a shooter.

a shooter.

Cooper, Hank, Lacey, Releford, and maybe even Randolph are considered shooters. None of them have shot well this year, but they were brought in to be a shooter. We just need post depth for this class.

i think Levi is more of a shooter than Releford. he has started off cold but his game is being a shooter. releford's game is a dribble and drive, but he's improved his shot this year.
