This just makes him Nick Jacobs with a jump shot.

It's better than saying 7 feet tall and clumsy...

The real question is, can he rebound and play defense?

If he commits to Alabama, then yes. If he resigns with Arkansas, no.

I wasn't implying it was a bad thing. Simply that we already have that skill set on the roster.

We've just got to get a guy who's decent at rebounding and has energy. Then with 2013, hopefully we can bring in Taylor and another forward plus Hale to really be forces in the post.

mid majors always seem to find good under the radar guys, whether from Juco or not. Now its not a great situation when we have to do something like that but surely (hopefully) we could find an athletic guy that can rebound and defend somewhere.

This is what Bossi had to say about him: He played pretty well when I saw him in November and has gotten fairly good reviews from coaches I've talked to. His motor has been good and he's one of those guys who has found ways to get things done and perhaps grown a little bit.

He can play for a high major and is getting recruited by many, but I think he'd really maximize his career at an upper end mid major where there's not as much pressure to perform right away or get passed.

Bottom line, his year at St. John's Northwest Military Academy has been pretty beneficial to him and he's made positive strides.

This is what Evan Daniels said about him: Like his ability to shoot the basketball. He's especially impressive in pick and pop situations.

The difference with Mid Majors is that the kids usually dont see the court until they are Juniors or Seniors. Guys we recruit wont sit on the bench that long. They will transfer.

Rivals150 wing DeVon Walker visited Tuscaloosa officially over the weekend.

He's a 6-5/6-6 wing who can shoot fairly well and is an above average defender.

Should be catching up with him for a full update either tonight or tomorrow.

That's from Eric Bossi of rivals. Here's his profile : LINK

I assume he's one of our backup plans to Pollard.

I just watched this video. It looks like he gets good rotation on the ball and it's at a good arc.

Here's Pollard being a beast on folks. He has the handle of a shooting guard and the size of a 4

He's going to be a one and done, but he would probably help mask some of the deficiencies we will be looking at next year. He's what, 6'8"? He looks to have the wingspan of a 7 footer though. He could play the 4 for us easily, although his NBA future is at the 2 or 3.

I think we might get him if Stansbury finally gets put out of his misery after UK bends State over a barrel and goes in dry.

If this guy is the backup to Pollard we must have intnetions of Pollard playing the 3. I was thinking that he would play the 4 for us. Anyway this kid looks legit and doesnt look like anyones backup.

I mean im happy to be getting anyone right now but honestly where is he going to play. We have what 5-6 wing players with his same size and most were better than him coming out of high school. Just would rather us find some type of big somewhere else or just wait next year if we cant get Pollard. Kid looks good but when I saw them scrimmaging he looked like a regular person. I mean while he was practicing I could go to the gym and hit those open shots.

Mitchell is 6'6 and probably won't return, Cooper is 6'6, and Levi is 6'5. So at most that would give us 4 wings around 6'6. Length on the wing is a luxury and we'd be wise to have it.

Idk if he's a backup plan or not. I think we want Pollard at the 4 so Walker may be our top target at the 2-3. I was just speculating in my previous post.

Cooprer, Levi, Lacy, Hankerson, and I counted Mitchell but shouldnt have. They all can be swapped out.
