Fine, it's your opinion. In my opinion, it's ridiculous to think Godwin is equal to Williams as a pure WR prospect.

Godwin isn't big, CB's are getting bigger. Williams is literally the entire package. That will be my opinion even if he signs somewhere else.

I personally think Preston is in class by himself at WR this year with the exception of George Campbell.

Part of my problem is I've seen him play in person a few times and he just didn't stand out as the best WR in the nation like one would think. I'm not saying he's not the best WR I just haven't seen it yet live.

His "brick" hands are very exaggerated by some people. His problem is he makes all the tough catches but sometimes drop the easy ones. You have to think that'll be fixed, its mental.

That's one hell of an interesting statement. I've never seen him play live but I've watched his Hudl film and it's the most impressive high school WR film I've seen since since probably AJ Green.

I've seen it too. But you know as well as I do that those are highlights and there is a reason why coaches ask for 2 complete game tapes before they offer a scholarship. I'm not knocking the kid, he just didn't have the type of games I was expecting. I saw D. Rodgers play in high school an thought he was one of the best that I've ever seen. Williams just didn't do it when I watched him.

If they request full game tape before an offer and he doesn't stand out, why does he have offers from everyone?

Because he's like every other recruit in America and sent in his two best game tapes . I'm not saying he's not the best, he just didn't stand out the 2 games I saw live.

Because he's a really good prospect, and maybe a guy that could dominate if coached well

Now I did see David Ricky back in the day at Calhoun and I thought he was gonna be the next T.O. but I still think Williams is on another level of athleticism compared to high school version of Da'Rick imo.

And I'm not just saying that because he's a VOL either.

I don't know, they're pretty similar in size and athleticism to me. Da'Rick was making one handed jumps over people where his belt was above the other players helmet. He just stood out by a country mile when I watched him.

I don't know man. David Ricky was a monster. It would be tough to be on another level athletically, unless PW is Randy Moss 2.0

You're gonna sit there and seriously try to get me to buy the idea that every single coaching staff that offered him sat down, watched ONLY the same 2 games, and offered. No live scouts, no more footage was requested, no coaches were questioned about his game.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I don't think every coaching staff has the same requirements for every kid to earn a "committable" offer.

No, that's not what I said at all. I'm not sure where you're getting that this is the only thing coaches do. It's part of the process, not the whole process.

The point I'm making is, they see more than highlights and the best 2 game tapes. They send coaches to games (you know this). You said you saw him in person and he doesn't stick out, if he doesn't stick out in a game, then why is every coaching staff in the conference gunning for him? It sounds like he's an immediate take for everyone.

If I may ask, how many times have you actually seen him play live?

College coaches are projecting. They look at the skills a kid has and ask themselves "how good can he be in 2-4 years?" It's obvious that Williams is really gifted, so he gets offers.

Wasn't he the GA 6A player of the year? Is that not based on production?

And the point I was making is that coaches ask for 2 game tapes if they're interested. They don't base everything off of a highlight reel.

Twice.

If he wasn't, he deserved it.

Fair enough. I just don't think you end up being widely regarded as the best WR prospect in the country, and getting recruited like it if you don't look impressive in an actual game.
