I think we get Bamba. Not sure about Diallo or Knox. We need a 2 guard.

Damn, just looked up that Calipari is only 57. The monopoly isn't ending for a very long time

Who cares. They have 5 5 star players every year. Theyll be so much more talented than everyone its ridiculous, probably win the sec, lose in the sweet 16, all of them will be drafted and then they will sign 5 more 5 star players that will attend kentucky for 6 months next year. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, his 5 stars have totally never won a National Championship, went to multiple NC games, or made multiple Final Fours.

2011 wants it's Rantard trolling back.

Yea they won one. It will probably be vacated at some point like every other thing he has done. Its ok. I wish we had that kind of basketball success. Im just saying. There is nothing to be surprised about here. He is a exceptional talent developer and a very mediocre coach that usually loses to some team with less than half the talent in the tournament (Even if hes playing kansas, north carolina or duke). Its really never even close talent wise. Do you think that Kentucky has more first round draft picks than the rest of tbe sec combined since caliparis been there? I legitimately bet thats the case. Its crazy he hasnt won more titles.

Not really. If the NCAA Tournament was so easy to win, Kentucky would have far more than 8 titles as a program over several decades.

Do you think that Kentucky has more first round draft picks than the rest of tbe sec combined since caliparis been there? Have you ever looked into that? He has probably had more nba players in his time there than tennessee has ever produced.

Possibly? I fail to see how talent should automatically win you championships without taking into consideration a ton of other variables in the NCAA Tournament such as matchups, healthy personnel, youth vs. experience, etc.

It's pretty rare to have all four #1 seeds from all 4 regions advance in the NCAA Tournament but Calipari is supposed to win it every single year because he recruited some 5 star guys. It's incredibly flawed logic.

Being a #1 seed is typically caused by having having a good group of seniors, some role players, well coached, a deep bench etc. You usually at most have a couple draft picks on these teams and a bunch if guys that might play overseas a few years. Kentucky has had so much more talent than any team. Its unlike any other talent difference in any other sport. The difference betweem alabama football talent and kentucky football talent isnt as large as the usual gap between kentucky basketball talent and the next best team. Its that ridiculous.

So you are arguing that talent is absolutely everything to win a title?

Good to know.

And youre arguing having significantly better players is hardly beneficial in a basketball game? Good to know. Its crazy thats the one sport you can go from highschool to nba superstar and talent is hardly relevant.

Never said it's hardly beneficial. I did say that it's certainly no guarantee to frequent national championships as you're declaring Calipari should have. Only Williams, Coach K, and Pitino have more among active coaches.

talent aside, its impressive what cal does with what is essentially an entirely new team every year

Lol youre both right. Its actually kinda handy to not have an nba team when youre a college coach. Hell if the browns joined the big ten and won 1 national championship and competed regularly that would be an exceptional accomplishment.after all the only coaches with more would be meyer and saban!

Talent is no guarantee. That said, with the amount of talent that passes through Lexington, a solitary national title is somewhat underwhelming. Saban wins titles like clockwork, and he has a much harder time stockpiling an overwhelming talent advantage in CFB than Cal has in CBB.

Also, we're in the hunt for 5* Harlan Kentucky. Suck it.
