It's weird that the UGA side feels like it goes

UGA
OM
UA

Why is why all of this is hilarious and no insider should be trusted. These are kids making decisions for Pete’s sake

Which is funny because actual folks at UGA seem to feel UGA leads. Sounds like Watts is just talking to other UGA mods who are talking to random people surrounding Nakobe and based on who you ask and who they know you’re going to get a different read.

I don't think anyone actually knows what is going on here.

I’d have a hard time believing people at UGA would still feel good after Kirby’s In Home last night if Nakobe was saying no thanks

Americus, while we have server issues on your site, are you ready to make your final prediction on Dean?

I hear you. I just think the kid is playing it close to the vest and will let everyone know when he signs.

Seems pretty up in the air. Best explanation I’ve heard thus far is that depending on which family member, family friend, Coach, etc a mod or reporter is using as their contact will depend on the answer you get and everyone feels like they have the best contact with the best info. Nakobe though isn’t giving anything away and may not even know yet what he’s going to do.

Watts just posted an update, says he believe Bama leads here but not locked in 100% (mentioned could lock that up tonight with in home). Alabama side he said feels LSU is #2 followed by UGA, Ole Miss and A&M.

Mentioned LSU, UGA and A&M sides all feel Bama leads. Ole miss side he mentioned feels LSU may lead.

This guy doesn't agree

quote:

So I’ve told you guys how confident I am on Dean leading up to last night. As y’all know, we we’re in home last night. I’m hearing we did not close the deal, leaving without a silent commitment. I was confident that we would recover there and I was wrong. So let’s talk timelines a bit as I understand it.

UGA was the leader following the scavenger hunt. That was in May and was the first time we started to really hear the Dean chatter following the Owen Pappoe fiasco. Dean became our #1 ILB target. Early Oct, I’m hearing communication frequency began to waver from our staff and the gumps who were always present really began to make their move. Dean isn’t the only target who’s mentioned that FWIW. There was movement and discussions on when to take the OV, and it is believed during that time things began to change as far as who was leading/favorite etc. We do have momma Dean in our corner but last night staff was told that it is Nakobes decision, as it should be. Dean is truly conflicted and staff doesn’t know what he’ll do. No sugarcoating it...Not being able to gain a silent last night is a huge blow. Saban is in tonight with the last in home visit. We all know the importantance of the last visit for an uncommitted target. I’m not saying it’s over officially but this is now a long shot in every way. Being honest, I’m downgrading his being in our class to a hope now.

One anonymous poster disagrees

I'm not saying he's right or wrong but I've never heard of this guy.

How would anyone know about a “silent” commit? No one would commit if Nick Saban is coming to your house the next day.

It appears his audience on DawgNation values his input.

Or are we just believing the "insiders" that tell you what you want to hear?

You tell me.

The Georgia fan base has more "insiders" than most of the other SEC fan bases combined.

FWIW nobody hold the Dawgnation forum in any kind of regard; it’s kind of a joke

Here is another "Insider" for ya , TideSaint: - other guys swear by him - below is a copy/paste of what he said.

Info I just got on Dean, THINGS ARE TRENDING UP FOR OUR DAWGS.

Let’s just say the in-home went REALLY well. If today was signing day based off new info I would move him into the 75% and higher group.

We have a REAL shot at finishing in the 320+ score range.

This staff is relentless.

Last thing is, class size looks to be 26 again this year, 2 from last class did make it in and one of the 24 was back counted

Go Dawgs

What about Dawgs247? We holding them in high regard? We certainly were yesterday, no?

This was from Jake Rowe an hour ago:

quote:

Rusty said this morning that he feels that Bama is trending for Dean. When it comes to info, when Tim Watts and Rusty Mansell give their take on a guy, it's usually cause to listen.
