Not everybody agrees with you
ETA
Different people can look at a player differently. My pushback comes from the poster that that asked why an ILB would pick Georgia over Alabama. (More or less) I was merely pointing out that an ILB that Georgia recruited came to Georgia over Alabama.

I mean,...it really isn't all that far fetched that a kid at any position might pick Georgia over Alabama. Is Alabama the better football team right now? yes. but nobody can say that is going to last for a whole lot longer. It might. But there is very little debating that Georgia has closed the gap somewhat.

Film don't lie

ETA: Your link even says he was listed as an OLB as a recruit.

On the inside it clearly lists him as a ILB. And, we recruited him as an ILB. I don't know what to tell you. We recruited him as an ILB. He knew he was going to be used as an ILB. He is being played as an ILB.

Then he's playing out of position. It's probably why he hasn't seen the field much this season.

Or because he’s better off playing his 4 games and taking a RS while he learns the system. Walker and Rice will be the starting ILBs next season

That could be your argument. My argument would be that he could play both inside and outside equally well and we like him at inside. But....you asked what Quay Walker would know about playing Inside Linebacker......my answer is...that is the position he plays.

I kind of felt that way, too, but wasn't sure.

Took Roquan 3 seasons to feel truly comfortable in the system and a lot of that also relied on the guys around him knowing the calls and assignments when he got them lined up. A year in the system for Walker alongside a guy like Rice who will have had 2 years already and surrounded by a very young defensive group that will have grown up this season is going to make him more useful in 2019 than he would have been in 18

Yeah, I was aware of the Roquan things. I wasn't sure about Quay, though. It makes sense.

Clemson's LB MLB/ILB, Tre Lamar is 6'4 250. Bama recruited Ben Davis 6"3 240 at ILB. Get ready for Quay to be the next ALL Conference LB.

I wish him nothing but the best.

However, Alabama is going to have two pretty good ILBs competing against him in Nakobe Dean and Henry To'oto'o.

Currently we have 2 ILB commits. One recovering from a torn acl and the other is flirting other schools. I'm confident Kirby gonna close with one of those top ILBs.

What's going on with the Pacific islander dude who transferred in (from Washington I think before official enrollment or something?)?

Brendan Kaho? Did he get 'right'?

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I see a group of great college LB’s but also a list of major bust in the NFL

First....you argued that Alabama ILB are always drafted in the first round. now you are naming players who have not been drafted in the first round.

Secondly...nobody argued that Alabama does not have a great history with LB's. The argument stemmed from you asking Why any ILB would pick Georgia over Alabama.
I answered your question..."Ask Quay Walker."

Thirdly....do you really want to act like Alabama gets every recruit they want?

Fourthly....if you want to troll go to the Rant.

He has played in every game and looks good. The reports of him losing a lot of weight during his time up in Seattle appear to have been false.

He looks like a future stud and we're going to need him to be next season after Mack Wilson leaves for the draft.
