I've heard good things about UGA's situation with him but I believe he'll be a Vol in the end.

Edit: Wow, most of the CBs were for OSU

I know he wanted to visit UGA again to show his dad since he couldn't come last time.

I don't really buy that OSU is totally out though

I am thinking he will be a Vol too, but Mom is often times very important. Some talk that we would be done at WR if we got him, but I think we would take a 3rd if we could.

If only we could recruit every position as well as we have WR the last 5 years.

An OSU insider said Van wasn't the lock OSU thought he was about a week ago. I was surprised but then I wondered if it was a mutual split or OSU moved up on other WRs or Jefferson moved down on OSU.

Anything is possible

Not sure if you're familiar with Buck Fitzgerald and James Newman. They are very connected with these IFM guys. That's where the info comes from. They were giving a lot of updates on Malone/Ramsey/Jennings/Smith as well.

Not familiar really. It just seems weird that OSU went from overwhelming favorite to totally out so quickly

I hope they're not "handlers" like AAU basketball coaches.

Buck played for the national championship VOLS in 98. He created IFM maybe 5 years ago. Did not get along at all with Dooley and his staff which cost Dooley big time in the mid-state. Gets along with Thig and Butch very well and we got everybody we wanted out of IFM last cycle except Emmanuel Smith who went to Vandy. Rico McGraw is an IFM kid as well, but Buck thinks UT is very much alive there.

Buck and James Newman (great friends with Buck) both post on VQ and give updates on IFM kids. They have been dead on.

A really good looking prospect. His refined skill set would compliment Preston's raw athleticism nicely.

Hope he picks the big orange. Surprisingly, I'd never heard of this guy prior to today.

So they're handlers?

I'll be pumped if VOLS land this kid. I thought we had no chance 3 months ago.

Now, if we could ever land a superstar QB to throw to all these receivers then we'll be in business.

Buck takes great offense when people call him a handler, but he influences these kids big time. Dooley only got one kid out of IFM (Jalen Reeves-Maybin) and that was no coincidence. Meanwhile Butch has landed 8 four and five stars out of IFM in a year and a half. Most of the top uncommitted TN kids this year are IFM affiliated, too.

Newman is not a handler. Just a poster who is friends with Buck. He goes to NYU.

Probably because it sounds like that's what he is

Sounds like a handler. And most handlers hate being called that I hope I'm wrong though.

People like to criticize the NCAA over all kinds of bs, but the fact that they have never done anything to stop the influence AAU coaches have in basketball recruiting and they are letting this corruption spread to 7 on 7 tournaments in football just shows what a fricking toothless joke the NCAA really is

No shite. I've never seen a team recruit one position at such a high level in a short span like UT has done with WR. Maybe Bama and UGA with RB's, but impressive nonetheless.

Can I get a break down of what years they signed on. Some of those I have never heard of and I think it's because they haven't really played yet.

Plus, where's that North kid?
