Been a bad week for the ducks

Still decidedly behind Alabama, Georgia, and LSU though. Insane the amount of 5 stars they have stacked.
#5 is #4 in the SEC, it’s comical

Um
The scholarship reduction was only for the '21 and '22 recruiting seasons.

Tennessee had 3 kids that were down graded to 4* immediately after committing to Tennessee.
Utu is a 5* by 2 services
GMac was #2 QB and #10 player in country. Committed to Tennessee and down graded without playing a game or camp.
Tennessee will have 3-4 5*’s by time signing day. Watch for Sanders to drop when he picks the Vols.

Not camping costs kids

I want to say that he had a minor injury and chose to sit out of the Elite 11, but I could be wrong. Anyway, he dropped substantially after not camping.

It goes beyond that.
A reduction in football scholarships by a total of 28 during the term of probation, including at least two scholarships each year.
Tennessee previously self-imposed and is credited with 16 scholarship reductions from the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.
Tennessee already self-imposed a scholarship reduction during the investigation, bringing the total to 18, which includes two from the 2024 class and will count towards the penalty, meaning it will have to reduce 12 more.
So they have to at least reduce the scholarships by at least 2 per year for the remainder of time they are on probation to get to 28.

I believe the university doing the reduction but the probation is over as it was implemented back started back with the '21 season.

It happened to one of our qbs. He knew he was going to UGA and didn't camp anywhere so they all dropped him. It's a shitty reason though.

Not true! How many camps did Arch Manning do his junior and senior year?
G-Mac was supposed to attend. He got hurt and had stitches in his throwing hand that kept him from the camp. That’s the only reason why he didn’t participate.
Even if it’s some what possible, you can’t truly punish a kid because he didn’t camp in 1 camp. He was given the 5* rating for a reason and then get mad because he don’t camp? That’s stupid. He will get his 5th star back once the season starts. I expect Tennessee to have 3-5 5*’s this cycle by time signing day comes.

Tennessee was punished with 28 scholarships reductions. They have been credited with 20 so far. Still have to get the other 8 out of the way. If I remember correctly, they have to vacate at least 2 scholarships a year till they get to 28.

The reductions were underway via the university as recommended during their self-investigation.
The whole thing happened so fast you had to keep up with it and the advanced timeline with delayed announcements.
There was a bowl ban. That is why the invitation was turned down in '20 despite the record. Decisions were already made to let go of Pruitt and force re-sign Fulmer upon the launch of the investigation. Those announcements were delayed in timing.

Are you new to recruiting? It happens every year to multiple players

I get all that. But part of the punishment from the NCAA is 28 scholarship reduction. When the punishment came down, Tennessee was sitting at 18 reductions. They would have to at least vacate 2 scholarships per year going forward till they reached 28. They are not at 28 yet.

Punishment came down in '22 before the White and Heupel hirings. Scholarship reductions were well-underway starting with the '21 class.
The NCAA deliberately delayed the results of the investigation.
This entire thing went so fast that it was deliberately slow leaked in order to fit the narrated time frame
