No, we are saying that Bumphis' senior season was better than ANY season Moncrief had at Ole Miss
Similar stats. Although, Moncrief had twice as many yards and TD's vs ranked opponents that year.
And boy did Bumphis tear up that fantastic Troy defense.

Vincent Sanders who would likely be WR1 for MSU.

Broken record type stat when it comes to MSU. Rack the frick up on stats against shite opponents while everyone else subs in their 3rd string in the 4th quarter.

Oh, for sure, he would. This last season that is. Bumphis is better than Sanders, but this past season, healthy Sanders would have most definitely been WR1 for y'all.

Jameon and Wilson are both better than Vincent. No doubt Treadwell affected his production this year. I was just making the point that Bumphis wasn't a scrub and people on here acting like he was is foolish.

Most years, he would have been a WR1 for us. We're just that stacked with NFL talent at that position. It's unfortunate for him but he'll do well this year back in our WR2 spot.

Sanders would have been #2 last season. Lewis had over 900 yards receiving last year.

I don't think Bumphis is bad at all. I really hated missing on him. I think he would be a perfect fit in Freeze's offense. I just find it humorous trying to compare Moncrief and Bumphis, that's all.

And Donte. And Engram. And Logan. And Holder(who, admittedly didn't have the stats, but made some great catches in traffic).

I compared the two to show you that statistically they are not far off from each other. Moreso just to show that trying to say that he sucked was ignorant.

You guys are like the greatest 5 loss team show on turf.

nobody ever said he sucked. We just all said he was very "meh" and threw up large chunks of stats against shite teams when up by 20+

I missed someone saying this. And if I did, it was clearly 100% sarcasm. Bumphis was a great player.

Pretty impressive when you're considering who he's splitting catches with....

If he were WR1 material it wouldn't matter who he was splitting catches with.

There's a big difference in being a WR1 when you have Moncrief and Treadwell on your team than a WR1 for....say....teams like Southern Miss or MSU.

to further this debate.....MSU didn't really have any other threat at WR position this season. Let's have a look at last season....
Lewis had 10 catches for 108 yards and no score.
Sanders had 39 catches for 504 and 4 TDs.
So with Lewis and Sanders backing up Bumphis(922 yards and Moncfrief(979), respectively.....what exactly makes you think Sanders wouldn't be WR1 for MSU?
He outgained Lewis by 5 times the yardage with both backing up guys who had over 900 yards receiving.
