LINK

Though he committed to Texas in July, he took all of his OV's, including to Alabama and Georgia last week.

Of course, A$M thought he was their's up until last week, when he took his last OV, to Texas.

Texas got a couple of true, book-end tackles, so our QB's will have some time to find our super talented WR corp.

Ya'll make sure you got LB's who can run!

Some of you do. Especially the ones that offered and didn't get him.

Georgia and Alabama will be fine on the OL

Obviously A&M wanted him, but they’ll be fine as well. It’s not like it was some 5* can’t miss prospect.

Rankings don't mean anything for OL.
We all know that already.

Shepherd is as good as he wants if he gets down to 315-320 but gets stronger.

He is a bust or future NFL starter.

He wouldn't have started this season. He would have probably been redshirted.

He was never going to unseat one of three returning 2-year starters or the #1 OL in the state of Texas as a true freshman.

I don't think any Freshman should start anywhere on the OL

Green is a Guard anyway.
I doubt y'all want him on the outside.
Shepherd is a RT. Doesn't have the wingspan to play LT.

Could play either guard if he cannot get more nimble laterally.

I can’t believe Shep went from dirty, soft, flake, looking for a handout, etc to clean, starting freshman tackle, and future NFL in a matter of 2 weeks.

Who says he is starting?

Christian Jones is in front of him.

Texas fans are have different opinions.
Not everyone thinks the same. Unlike the cult in College Station.

We understand you wish you were in the SEC, but you’re not. Please stick to your conference boards.

Texas has sucked this entire decade until they finally manage to win more than 7 games and beat Georgia, now they come out in droves.

You had one job Georgia.

He’s also said offers don’t matter. This cat is out there.

It should be you're or you are

I am not in any conference and neither are you
If Texas wanted to be in the SEC they would have.

Texas can stand on their own.
aggy should try it as well.

Research All Americans since 2004
Then research 5 star OL.

OL is the hardest position to evaluate.

So rankings do not matter at OL.

16 year old kids are either mature for their age or have not fully matured.
Can't tell how dominant an Offensive Linemen is until after 18-19.
When everything evens out

I'm not saying it's the most difficult position to evaluate. What I am saying is that rankings matter. I bet % wise, more 5*s go higher in the draft than 4*s, etc.

UGA knows that arguably better than anyone else.

Just because Texas has had a bunch of highly rated recruits that haven't gotten drafted or panned out doesn't mean it applies to everyone.

Wisconsin and Iowa have produced about the same amount of NFL draft picks on the OL as anyone else with 3 star and below recruits.

No...
Offensive Line has the highest miss rate.
It is not even close. Mainly because OL don't participate in these camps.
You can see a QB, WR and even DB.
You can't put the pads on and see these 5 star OL until the very end.

Especially in places with low talent it is hard to judge how dominant they can become.
