At MSU? We frick a kid over a $2k discount on a used car and a couple hundred dollars. 17 games. 2 years probation. 4 schollies. A bunch of visits. And foremost -- tie our own hands in recruiting for the next SEVEN years -- while the gloves are off in Oxford.

MSU is saying "if you are an athlete and wash your car on campus with our water, it is an impermissible benefit and will be turned in to the NCAA as such"
This wasn't at MSU, was it?

No -- but our list of secondary violations are pretty damn similar to that every year(yes, I realize all schools turn in bullshite secondaries every year).

Bottom line is -- if you were a recruited athlete, would you rather go to school A, where they will do everything in their power to take care of you up front and then keep you out of trouble -- or school B, where you better not tell a damn soul about those couple hundred dollars a booster gave you -- lest you lose half of your career eligibility over it?

Id choose the school that didn't celebrate farm equipment as their biggest tradition, but that's just me.

All this thread is lacking is the video of Dan the Man's awkward interview after the NCAA stated it was investigating the situation. Mullen looked dumb as frick...
