What do you mean appears to be losing out? TJ Yeldon says hello, and hopes to see you around campus now that he is there.

Not if aubie wants him he isn't. Trust me, you have something to worry about, because aubie appears to be losing out on a few big names. This means you could lose out on the Florence freight train.
He and Coman said yesterday they were coming to Starkville this weekend again for an unofficial...we'll see

Maybe it's just me but I don't see Liggins as a big deal. He won't see tge field for a while behind Dak.

Very possible.... never know he could be the next black Tebow of CF. I could see him being a hell of a TE or possibly DE.

Prescott is faster, a better passer, and already has a redshirt year under his belt. He's a true quarterback and is built like one, except he has legs, better legs than Relf. Liggins is a project. If Liggins was going to be a starting qb at state, he would probably have to redshirt and be a backup for a couple years.

Agree.. There is no question about it. It would be 2 years at the earliest if ever sniffed the field... Unless he were converted to a TE or FB or something. He has lead his HS team to what 2 straight unbeaten seasons? Of course running over HS players is tad bit different than doing so in college. I see basically a bigger Chris Relf out there when seeing his highlights... Maybe alil better arm delivery.

Since the State fans are retracting their support of Liggins, I'll take that as a sign that he'll wind up an Old Piss Webel.

Dak is going to be outstanding- no doubt about it...but even Relf's big arse got beat up the last 2 years. He played with cracked ribs for 4 games nobody outside the team even knew about. Liggins gives us two big athletic QB's.

not only a redshirt year, but he enrolled early so he already had 1 spring practice

I am just not gonna get all giddy about a QB that weighs 280 with a suspect delivery. Not saying he won't play qb. I am just not gonna count him as a qb yet. I want him, no doubt. And I don't think he is a lock to ole miss.

I honestly think OM fans want him so state can't have him. Relf was a nightmare. We'd hate to go up against a bigger, faster Relf that can pass. Especially if he's from Oxford. It's amazing how much love Liggins gets compared to Dak when Dak is without a doubt a better looking prospect. I guess that shows the talent difference from LA to MS

I do know this: when he comes to Ole Miss, he'll be a benchwarmer, probably get arrested a time or two, and then be mediocre-to-bad before being replaced by a Juco transfer.
If he were to go to State or LSU, he'd be All-SEC.

no way he'd be all sec qb at lsu. maybe DL.

Do state fans really even want him that bad, or are they just excited about the idea of stealing an Oxford kid and rubbing it in our faces?

He's a four star recruit. Of course we want him.
Posted on 1/25/12 at 2:03 pm to Tds & Beer
I really do want him. We only have 2 scholarship QBs.
I'm not going to get worked up when he comits to OM though
