What did he say...exactly? Hell, tell us what day he said this and we can look for ourselves.

You guys are so quick to defend Yancy. Geez, it is ok to admit he is having a bad year.
This is where you're wrong. We're just quick to point out bullshite from MSU fans. We have a ton of experience doing that.

Can't link the stuff
Of course you can't because it's not true, just like the other bullshite you're spewing. Then you say that we are being defensive to ask for evidence. That's the whole point we were trying to make. Thanks for playing.

Right now, the stuff with Jefferson seems innocent, but that kind of crap is always how it starts. Once again, AJ completely refuted that rumor already this morning.
quote:
Here is what happened. Coman and brown both were scheduled to visit OM. Gene is saying both are commits and won't visit OM. OM fans ask Yancy if this is true and Yancy respond with "neither recruit has informed OM that they won't visit, so until they do I expect them to visit". Then as soon as this happens Yancy tells rebel nation they won't visit. Exactly what is wrong with that? As far as Jiles and Redmond goes yancy did say OM was still in play for these recruits because neither stopped talking to OM's coaches. That's all he said. As soon as both told OM coaches that they were set on state and were done with recruiting, Yancy told rebel nation this exact thing.

I'd like to thank "Big Dawg" for not disproving our opinion that all MSU fans are idiots.

Our class will finish as a top 5 overall defensive class in the country, to go along with the current #16 scoring defense. We may never be Bama or LSU, but we have stockpiled enough talent on that side of the ball to go on a multi-year run as a top 10 defense. Spin and downplay that however you'd like.
Offensively, this class is somewhere between not very good and really bad, depending on what Liggins decides to do. There wasn't much offensive talent in Mississippi this season, and losing Cowan to Ark and Alford to USM just makes it that much worse. By "star-gazing", this makes the 3rd sub-par to really bad offensive class Mullen has signed in a row, after the very good 2009 class. The promising thing is that he's redshirted almost all of them, and alot of the (not very highly rated) skill players in the 2010 class are starting to show promise. We have a ton of bodies on the o-line, but to be honest, Gabe Jackson is the only one Mullen has signed that has impressed. Hopefully, the others grow into it, because our overall sustainable success will depend solely on them...

No one is denying that you guys have a strong defense and defensive class.

Completely agree with all of this and I've been waiting to see if any MSU fans have actually objectively looked at the offensive side of the ball.

Somebody was telling lies about Coman. Dunno if it was Yancy.
From an article on Coman's official to MSU.
Coman has been committed to MSU for several months now and he noted getting to see his future surroundings only verified what he already knew in his mind. Yes, there have been false reports of Coman looking to visit elsewhere but he again refuted those "lies".
"I am not visiting anywhere else and it went great this weekend," said Coman. "I am a Bulldog and that is how it's going to be.
"I just don't pay attention to those rumors and some folks are gonna lie about everything. I just choose not to listen to it and those kind of people are just trying to kill your dreams, and that isn't about to happen to me."

I don't think anyone is saying your class isn't good. I think everyone agrees with that. When we really want at least 10 of your commits you know it's a good class.

In all fairness, it is tough to link to a payboard... Screenshots are about all that works

I'm hoping that you're talking about links to actual Yancy posts and are somehow forgetting that it's a very good chance we have the ability to read our own boards.....
because we'll laugh hysterically at you if you post something from Genespage talking about Yancy.

I don't subscribe to Yancy's shite, so this whole "hurrr durr Yancy was wrong" game is rather silly, IMO. He could be as right as rain and I still wouldn't bother with his stuff, so the fact that he may or may not be wrong about something means nothing to me.
