but I personally believe Trey Sanders and Jadon Haselwood are way undervalued on 247

Sanders is the best, most complete back in the nation; and Haslewood is going to be a top 10 pick. UGA really missed out there.

I think if Holyfield had declared for the draft early instead of insinuating that he'd stay UGA would have pulled Sanders. Haslewood was gone when Fields soured.

The 247 dude actually said that Alfano was ranked at #1 ahead of Stingley simply because of his position.

You're generalizing. This is what he actually said:

quote:

“We asked coaching staffs that didn’t land him,” Simmons said. “Can you tell me what we’re missing on Alfano? What is his flaw? We couldn’t come up with one. It’s Nick Bosa-ish profile for Antonio Alfano. Robert Nkemdiche is another comp we’ve made. I really believe that he’s got a chance to be a really unique player at Alabama.

“ … When we look ahead to the NFL Draft, defensive line is the position we see drafted No. 1,” Simmons said. “If there was something that we were missing on Alfano, if we could come up with an on-the-field flaw, we may have gone with Leal. We may have gone with Stingley. We may have gone with Nolan Smith. But we just couldn’t find that flaw to give us the nudge to somebody else.”

Exactly. He was put at #1 because of position. Thanks for making that clear.

No, he was put at #1 because they couldn't find any flaws in his game. It's spelled out in black and white for you and you're still not getting it.

quote:

“If there was something that we were missing on Alfano, if we could come up with an on-the-field flaw

quote:

We may have gone with Stingley.

But we just couldn’t find that flaw to give us the nudge to somebody else.”

That clear enough for you?

First of all, you don't understand the meaning of "generalizing." I am assuming you meant oversimplifying or something similar. You can post the quote a mllion times, but it is all right there. Nothing separates the players based on their evaluated abilities or projected impact in college. The factor that led them to put Alfona at the top was his position since it is more likely to be a position that gets picked first in he NFL draft. 247 has explained that they rank players at the top based on projected draft pick. 247 is different than some other services in this regard.

Could also be because it’s a more important position
