Formerly committed to Auburn.
Finalist list was LSU, Clemson, Missouri, Tennessee, Southern Cal, and Vanderbilt.
Garrett ranks as the No. 253 player in the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average of all four major recruiting media companies. He is also rated as the No. 15 linebacker
Plays for Central in Baton Rouge.

He decommited from Auburn in June.

Prevailing thought on LSU end was that they prefer JJ Bush (current Arkansas commit who LSU is trying to flip) but Garrett was a solid fallback option.
Right now, we don't have either one and could use a LB in the class.
