Good questions. I have no idea. Kids say a lot of things coming off the high of signing or committing. We'll have to wait and see. Just going by his comments it would seem he will stick around, but Fields said he understood if he had to red shirt one year.
You never know, but I hope he does stay.

Another good question.
I am going by what I read on here. Maybe I am too trusting? I can't imagine why people would make comments up about that, but stranger things have happened. Anybody? Did anybody actually see the quotes that Fields said he would be okay with a redshirt?

I dont know where it is but pretty sure I saw him saying that in a quote before he signed.

I know it was reported on our board, but sometimes fans (all fans, not just ours) read into comments what they want to hear. That's why Djs has a point. I would love to see it in an article, but suspect it is/would be difficult to find 2-3 years in the past. I did look, and thought I had found it a time or two, but when I read the article it was actually saying something totally different.

"Gunner" Is that his real name or a nickname? If it is his real name, his parents groomed him to be a qb or pitcher from day one.
