Just thought I would mention it.
We got some drama starting over on the LSU recruiting board. Vol called out Nolacapstone for just lying under the pretense of damage control about Roy and then said not only was he 100% confident we would get Roy, but he was also 100% confident we would get Guillory, and that “Bama needs to worry less about getting LSU recruits and worry more about keeping what they’ve got.” He has been hinting for a while that one of Bama’s high profile recruits is a silent to us so this is just him reinforcing that I guess.
Either way, don’t shoot the messenger, but I trust Vol.

I just wanted to bring Nolacapstones thoughts to the board. He reads the Rant, so he will see this as well. Funny how someone that claims that LSU is infatuated with BAMA, 80% of his posts are about LSU

Yes, don’t let the 26th fool you...No matter what ANY LSU mod or “insider” says, JR is struggling with in $tate pressure because he gave his verbal to CNS. I stand by my pick and will not back away from Roy being in Crimson in December.

Yea that’s what Vol was responding to. He said that nolacapstone couldn’t be farther off, and then he said he rest of what I said.

Yeah, I posted a copy of the starting point post with a link so people don't have to dig around to find it, along with VolTiger13's actual response and the rest of the discussion.

To be honest this can be said of any highly rated recruit, year in, year out... "It's not over until he signs...."

I mean while I think that is true for a lot of them you also have 5 stars like Derek Stingley who completely shut down everything after they commit.

True they can say they are shutting it down, but until the ink is dry it's not locked up is my point.

There's a new No. 1 overall prospect in Louisiana for the 2020 recruiting class as 247Sports moved Baton Rouge (La.) University High defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy up the No. 1 prospect and inside the Top 50 overall prospects while having him as the nation's No. 5 defensive tackle in the new Top247 rankings released Tuesday.
247Sports recruiting analyst Charles Power said that with his strong testing numbers, camp performances and reshaped body, the move for the 6-4, 289-pound lineman was a natural one, just edging past New Iberia (La.) Westgate wide receiver Kayshon Boutte.
"Roy put together a strong offseason both on the camp circuit and during the spring evaluation period," Power said. "There wasn’t a ton of video out there, so his in person and camp evaluations were going to be big and he was impressive on every occasion we saw him in the last several months. Roy has shown to be one of the more disruptive interior defensive linemen to this point in the process and we felt he’s built the resume deserving of a top 5 defensive tackle nationally and the no. 1 prospect in Louisiana."

Yep. Before they can sign, a lot of various things can happen with the program they're "locked-in" with (and other suitors) that contribute to them changing their minds. There are always some flips late in the recruiting cycle.

Didn't that Vol guy shite himself pretty good on a couple of guys last recruiting cycle? He damn sure did on sopsher for sure and i think there may have been one or two others. You frickers were pissed about it too. I remember reading the threads.
Even after Roy commits to lsu, only a complete tool would count out nick saban for a guy he really wants out of Louisiana. I'm not saying alabama gets him but when the GOAT's involved, rarely is there such a thing as an lsu lock. That shite comes down to the wire. Roy probably will too.

Vol said that there was a chance we would get Sopsher and that he had told us he was coming. You seriously doubt that isn’t true? The people that attacked him after were the people that don’t understand recruiting.

I get what you are saying but that was why Roy decommited in the first place. I don’t think there is any chance he would commit and then switch up again. He just never would have decommitted in the first place then.

Only a few people know the real reason Roy decommitted in the first place and it wasn’t because he didn’t want to be committed to LSU I promise you that

I think he'll stay committed this time too but when "the man" is involved, a re-flip is squarely on the table. Especially for an elite Louisiana player.

I get that Nick Saban is a great coach but you are making him out to be magic. 5 Star commits that flip on signing day are extremely rare, and that’s especially the case for someone from Louisiana committed to LSU. If he commits here and he ends up at Alabama it will happen before signing day.
