LSU fans, what's the word on this kid? He was in town this weekend and set up another visit for Oct 8 vs Tennessee. Was wondering if there is any legitimate chance with him because he's going to be a good one. I realize there's a long way to go and a change with LSU's offense likely will have a big impact

He loves Les so if he's gone there's no telling where we stand

If Miles does get fired and we manage to get Jimbo, we will have just as good of a chance with all our top '17 and '18 prospects, except maybe Moses.

When Miles gets fired we will hire an coach who can develop the forward pass so I dont like aTm odds down the line.

I agree but LSU fans are underestimating Les' impact on recruiting. He spent an hour with Marshall at LSU's Shreveport satellite camp earlier this year. Marshall really showed LSU some love after that.

Miles is a very likable guy and recruits recognize that.
Fact is we can land Marshall and it wont make 1 iota of a difference in the offense unless we change it. Tyron Johnson just bolted due to his frustrations with this offense. Highly doubt Miles will be the one putting in the final push for Marshall from our side, and I could care less if we lose him due to losing Miles...we need someone who can figure out how to run a modern offense to actually make use of players like this. Imagine if players like this want to come to LSU not just because it's home and because of the HC, but because of the actual offense we're running.

If he's smart he'll stay the hell away from Les.

Thanks, I'm sure he's waiting to see what happens the rest of the season. It does seem like we are his favorite alternative early but a long ways to go

Too soon to tell.

Watch out for TCU in that alternative category. They've offered his QB too.
