You're talking about Les Miles here, the guy didn't develop a QB he recruited from high school in 11 seasons.
At any rate, this was definitely a mutual parting of ways. His only other offer is from UTSA right now (picked up an offer from Strong at UT, but that's no longer there). Writing was on the wall with this kid, just never became what some thought he would, on top of that, not so sure he fits what Canada sees in a QB either which is why Canada probably wanted to go ahead and tell him to look at other schools.
