I like Bateman. If he'd take my advice and convert to Islam so he'll have a cooler name then we could talk about "ZOMG" status. But Cooper Bateman is a pretty white bread name, even for Utah.
Yep, Cooper is right up there with Tanner and Connor for corniest white boy names of this millenium. Why do it, parents?!

Not this motherfricker! Oh my God, you guys have no idea how bad our collective lives have gotten with his existence in our general consciousness.
How'd you find this place anyway? Looking for your dick and took a wrong turn?

Alright, back to fricking recruiting:
Artie Burns backed off his early commitment to Alabama in March, so who is in the running for this four-star corner? Get the latest here.
If it's true that we want him I would rather take Burns over Langley. Burns is a better athlete with elite speed.
Artie Burns backed off his early commitment to Alabama in March, so who is in the running for this four-star corner? Get the latest here.
quote:
"Alabama is still in it and I still talk to them weekly. I talk to Coach Stoutland and Coach Saban and they still want me. They tell me they want me as much as they did before," Artie Burns told Scout.
Burns still has Alabama high on his list, but he wants to explore all of his options. He made a decision a little too quickly.
"I had to sit back, look at my options, and see where I want to be. I just committed too soon.
"Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Louisville, USC, and LSU are the schools high on my list right now."
The school closest to home is really making a push for the Northwestern star.
"Miami is coming at me hard and I talk to every coach from there. I have been on their campus a lot because they are close to home. They have great tradition, especially at defensive back, so I am looking at them pretty hard too."
Both Alabama and Miami will get an official visit from Burns after September 1 as will another in-state program.
"Florida State has a lot of great history at their program and I like them. Their coaches are cool and they make me feel comfortable. I plan to visit them officially during the season. Florida State, Alabama, and Miami are the only schools I know I will visit officially right now," said the 6-foot-1, 180 pound cornerback.
Once all the dust settles, the official visits are taken, and Burns is ready to make his final decision, one thing will play a big role in that.
"Me feeling at home is what it is all about. I have to feel comfortable, I have to feel good at the school, and I want to feel like I am home. I will commit late in the fall after the season is over, but it is all about how I feel when I am at a school."
Scout ranks Burns no. 18 in the country at cornerback.
If it's true that we want him I would rather take Burns over Langley. Burns is a better athlete with elite speed.

That is great Burns is the better athlete but shouldn't we be saying who is the better corner?

Still Burns IMO, but I think the ship has sailed

Josh McNeil has been one of the most highly recruiting prospects in the country. On Friday, the Hillside High (Durham, N.C.) tight end trimmed his list to two schools.
quote:
Last fall, Josh McNeil burst onto the recruiting scene. It was McNeil’s first time playing football. However, from the start it was clear that he had all the tools to be a big-time college football prospect. After collecting more than 40 scholarship offers, only two schools remain for McNeil.
“I am down to Georgia and Alabama,” said Josh McNeil (6’5/240). “I feel relieved. I feel like the pressure is off, and I can concentrate on myself now. They were the two schools that stuck out the most and the two places where I felt the most comfortable. They are both equal right now.”
McNeil likes several things about each school.
Alabama: “The chances I would have their – winning championships, going to the NFL, and catching a lot of passes,” he said.
“Nick Saban is one of the best coaches in college football and I would like to play for him. He gets the job done.”
Georgia: “I love the offense they run,” said McNeil. “I also would have a chance to go in play right away, make an impact, and help them win championships.”
“Coach (Mark) Richt is just a good person and a laid back coach. He is always straight up with you and 100 percent honest.”
McNeil will make his decision at The Opening at 8:30 p.m. on July 7.
“After I make my decision I am going to be about 95 percent done, but I might still take my five official visits,” he said
McNeil is Scout’s No. 97 overall prospect in the country.

I agree that Burns is better, but I wouldn't count him out just yet, especially if Langley pulls a "Nkemdiche" and commits to UT or UGA due to them offering his teammate.
If Langley chooses to go elsewhere, I imagine the staff would push hard for Burns.
