Never get tired of hearing or reading stories like that. It's amazing what a small gesture that requires little time or effort can do for someone ill. Props Geno and GL to the little girl.

Hunter Henry has offers from schools coast to coast, but the four-star tight end out of Arkansas has narrowed his list down. Find out who still has a chance and more here.
quote:

"There are only six schools left that I am really considering now," Hunter Henry told Scout. "Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Oklahoma are the six. You can call them finalists or favorites, but those are the six I am still considering."
Henry has tripped to all but one of those schools and he plans to visit them soon.

"I will be visiting Stanford next week. I have visited the other schools on the list, but I think I will be going back to Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas again this summer. I just want to get one more look at those schools."

Many felt like the Razorbacks have been leading the way for Henry, but Henry has always kept his options open. He still likes Arkansas, but he has some questions about them.

"Arkansas has a new coach (John L. Smith) and I do not know much about him and I do think he would be my coach if I went there. Not knowing the coach in the future makes it hard to get a good feel there now.

"I just want to get back there and look at them a little more now. I am not really sure what to do though because of the coaching situation. They are a good school, I still like them, but it makes things a little harder."

All schools other than Arkansas have sent a coach to Pulaski Academy to check on the Scout100 prospect already and Henry expects a UA coach there this week.

After Henry visits Stanford and a number of his finalists again, a decision could be coming.

"I have been thinking about when I want to commit and I have been praying about it too," said the elite tight end. "I could be committing to someone this summer, God will let me know when the time is right. He will help me figure all of this out."

Kain Daub, linebacker prospect from Nease High School in St. Augustine, Fla., is closing in on double-digit scholarship offers. Daub talked about his latest offer and early interest.

quote:

“Alabama offered me last Friday," said Kain Daub. "I never thought I would get an offer from Alabama until they at least saw me in person. I have never visited them before. I will go up there in June for the camp.

“My coach told me I needed to call coach Nick Saban. Coach Saban told me I am one of the few prospects they have offered in the 2014 class. He said they usually don’t offer until they see someone in person. It made me feel really good.”

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound prospect talked about his interest in the Crimson Tide.

"Alabama is a really nice school,” Daub said. "They put a lot of kids in the League. It’s a good environment. They have good coaches and a great defense."

The offer list includes Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina and UCLA. At least four schools are on the calendar for summer camp participation.

"I never thought I would get offers so early,” said Daub. “If I did I never thought I’d get big schools like the ones I have. I don’t have any favorites right now. I know I am going to camp at Alabama, LSU, Florida and Florida State.”

There was a thread in LSUrb where a couple of posters stated that he has academic issues. Other than that, I think he's a stud.

Several of them seem to be high on him in this thread other than the academic concerns:

....and LSU taking 71 LB's in last year's class as well. Seems as though they're being stingy with the (alleged) one LB offer they'll extend this year.

Ty Isaac committed to USC. He was Auburn's top RB target and I got the feeling they thought they had a good shot at him. Yes, I'm aubsessed

ETA: Disregard what I said about Ty Isaac. They were after him, but Tyshon Dye is the RB they feel good about

yeah I don't really understand why they wouldn't offer. I know they got alot of LB's last year but this is a 4 star from their own state. Everything I've read says if LSU ever offers he will take it but if not he is going to Bama.

They all said he doesn't fit chief's system. A few of the smart ones said that was ridiculous. They said the same things about Devall too.
