I think our sustained success with Tyler is really opening some doors from us that haven't been there in the past. I would venture to say we are getting more media attention this year than we did last year with Mallett. We didn't get in the top 10 last season until the week after the LSU game last but have spent almost half of this season in the top 10 which is huge.

Couple the media attention with the fact that a lot of the schools originally recruiting him backed off when he committed to Indiana or have since filled their QB need and you have a good combination for us to get a foot in the door with him suddenly.

Yea...not expecting to get him at all. But if we do it will be a nice surprise.

Ever since we have hired Petrino I have been saying "I can't wait until we get a top 5 overall QB in this system."

Yeah I would love to see what he could do with 3-4 years to tutor a truly elite QB. Our offense would be nuts.

I'm starting to get sick of the Hogs being the first to offer an under the radar recruit then damn near immediately after a truck load of BCS conference teams offer up.

I went to Keon Hatcher's Semi-Final game tonight after our game :(

He had a decent game, 6 catches for 70-80 yards or so. His team lost 30-17.

Heard JaMichael Winston was all over Jameis Winston tonight in the playoffs.

New 247 DGB article..

You can hear the talk get louder in the Ozarks. It’s looking more and more like wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham (Springfield, Mo./Hillcrest), the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect and top receiver, will remain close to home and sign with Arkansas.

I don't like it when people talk about him coming here. I feel it will jinx it all!

It only took a few comments in to get to the 'Arkansas offered his dad a job' crap.

I also like the Stanley tweets. Williams is doin' work.

Saw those comments..

And yes, Williams is doing work trying to get others on board with his recruiting class. Him and ray buchanan jr are trying to recruit all the guys left out there who have offers from us who aren't committed yet.

Sources close to a program that was recruiting Green-Beckham indicated earlier this week that the player and his family have informed them he would like to stay close to home to play college football. It was their opinion that he would end up at Arkansas or Oklahoma and they characterized the Sooners as a “close second” in the race.??

I would bet good money that this is out of the Auburn camp.

anymore tweets from them about it since we lost? We could use some of these elite talent kids. We would be very good if we got them.

JUCO DE Austin Flynn set his official visit for Dec 2-4th. So next weekend.

He's pretty much down to Oklahoma and Arkansas.

I think it's interesting we are taking on oklahoma in so many recruiting battles. they usually have good talent coaches just can't keep them focused to win all their games every year.

This kid is a good find by our coaching staff. We offered him before the season started and before he had any other offers. Unfortunately, now that he has blown up he has this Oklahoma offer that is throwing a bit of a wrench in our plans.

It seems Auburn likes to follow us around on random offers as well. Amirite?

You're definitely right, and hopefully when a certain coach gets a job that is hopefully out of this region, that will change. Or not.
