Haven't heard much about him other than general profile stuff. You got any info, Trey?

I got nothing, other then he doesnt have a Bama offer, and I don think a AU one either.

Did a some quick Inerwebs research:
Good measureables, 6'5" 230lbs, reports 4.5 forty.
Didn't play his junior year due to injury.
Went to BigCat Weekend and was very high on Auburn.
Lot's of upside and potential.
May be hard to keep him if instate schools offer.
Called Willy Robinson and committed Sunday after watching Arkansas beat Auburn.

We wont, so Auburn would be the prime competition here.

quote:Bama may not offer, but if he has a strong Senior year and Saban misses on a couple of prospects anything is possible. So far he has 10 sacks in 7 games. You are correct that Auburn would seem to be the biggest concern right now though.

He looks to be a LB for Bama. In order for us to offer we would have to miss on Jenkins, Devall, and Alexander, to go along with a decom.

This kid might only be a 3* but I like getting these Alabama kids....Even if Bama or AU don't offer him these Bama kids seem to play out and have good collegiate careers.

Did Humphreys son end up there?

Yeah, he will be in the starting WR rotation next year. Just buried behind the big 4 right now so he isn't getting much playing time.

I don't know about that. Humphrey is probably the 8th or so reciever in the rotation right now. next year i would imagine it's Hamilton, Wade, Horton, Herndon, Funderburk, Minor and cobb. Honestly would not be surprised to see Humphrey leave. He just doesn't get open.

Yeah I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt since he's been around the longest. If he doesn't leave, I am guessing he will get the reps at the beginning of the season just because of his knowledge base. Horton and Herdon definitely have the most upside out of that class. I would imagine, barring landing DGB, that Hamilton, Wade and Horton will be the starters next year with Herndon being the first guy in.

“We were on our way to the game everybody on the road seemed to have something to do with Arkansas on,” said Johnson, who said he was tempted to commit to the Hogs during his visit in Tuesday’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “Arkansas hats, shirts, stickers on their cars. It looked like a stampede of Arkansas fans coming to the game. ”

Cottrell will be hard to get away from Oregon.

Hey do you think Winston committing today will hurt us with Taiwan? I really want to land him. He has been one of my favorite guys all along and it really seems like we are making ground up fast with him.
Posted on 10/11/11 at 3:27 pm to TheCheshireHog
Don't think so. We want 4 this year, so that spot is left for him if he wants it, and there is always a chance one doesn't make it.

That's very good to hear. Thanks.
