According to the Orlando Sentinel, D'vario Montgomery is still talking about trying to visit Arkansas.

quote:

Montgomery, who has said he won't likely use official visits on UCF or USF, had planned to visit Arkansas on Saturday for the Razorbacks game with South Carolina. The only other visit date available for Montgomery, ranked No. 4 in the Sentinel’s 2012 Central Florida Super60, to catch a game in Fayetteville is Nov. 12 against Tennessee.

Really

On DGB, he couldn't make it to the game. He had family come into town this weekend.

That's good. I was wondering why he didn't make it, because I knew that he wanted to.

D'Arthur Cowan, or as I like to call him "Floodgate", at the game this past weekend.

He's in the middle and the guy on the left is his teamate Jaylen Miller who is the RB for Olive Branch. Apparently Petrino invited him up to the game as well. Maybe a future invited walk-on is what I'm guessing. The kid has put up ridiculous stats this year but his size is a big issue.

I don't know why in the hell this kid would stay committed to USCe after watching us throttle them in person and seeing their joke of a passing offense.

Please flip

Going to be hard: PalmettoSports.com

quote:

“I was focused on the play calling,” he said.

“Arkansas has more talent with Lattimore being out. We're not at our full strength. Once they get this recruiting class in, we're going to be right back at it.”

And Rainey indicated he still plans to be a part of that class. “It's still strong, I'm still strongly committed,” he said.

“We'll see how it goes this week at South Carolina (on his official visit). Next week, I'll make it really official, but I've got something to think about. I'll visit South Carolina and then evaluate after the weekend.”

Rainey is graduating from school early so he plans to firm up his plans soon after his USC visit.

But he did tell them what he liked about The Hogs:

quote:

TE Kelvin Rainey has been a USC commitment since June, but the strength of that commitment was tested some over the weekend while he made an official visit to Arkansas.

“That's what happens when you go on a visit,” Rainey said. “The visit went good, it was amazing, and I enjoyed everything I did. And he (Bobby Petrino) puts tight ends in the League (NFL).”

Yeah there is no way in hell Rainey flips. He got to take a free visit to watch his team play and in the process Arkansas got a guy to go back to Yulee and talk us up big time to future recruits. We always have Official Visits leftover at the end of the year so I think this was a good way to use one.
