I didn't have anyone specifically in mind, but I'm sure lsu losing to bama last year in BR is a huge reason why they committed to bama.

Recruit: will make my mother happy (but unless we are talking about Vandy has no advantage really over any other SEC school regarding the value of what they learn.)
Miles: We send players to the NFL
Recruit: that is my dream coach(no advantage because UA does the same.)
Miles: Come play and win 10+ games a season
Recruit: what about winning championships coach
Miles: Uh come play and be a part of the Dream Team made up of LA kids and represent LSU
Recruit: But coach my dream is to represent LA and win a NC so will we do that here at LSU

I mean for a kid who was planning to commit to Bama WITH Big Cam I didn't read too much into it
They are close I knew that going in I was expecting as much...don't forget the ESPN guy asked him as soon as he put the hat on "What about Cam Robinson" same way ESPN did that shite upstaging Collins by immediately asking his mother

I found it odd he used the word hopefully 3 times when talking bout cam. It's obvious sims doesn't know his decision.
I didn't watch it except for the 15 sec Instagram clip someone linked but it did suck his moment was ruined by the focus being shifted to Robinson.

I agree that I do not think Sims is privy to where CRob is leaning or headed but I think that has more to do with CRob not knowing at this point.

Post the link of Robinson re tweeting he was still going to be in p and g. It had #lsu and or # geauxtigers after it.

Well damn. I guess that means Dupre, Fournette, Hootie and CRob are all Bama locks. Also funny how quick that hypothetical recruit went from all about representing LSU and Louisiana and winning a NC there to all Roll Tide. I'm sure that's how it works in real life.

Only two things I get out of recruiting. One nothing is what it seems and two it is all pure entertainment because of grown adults get so distraught about a HS kid.
In the end both UA and LSU will miss on a few, but fill most of their needs. The staff only knows who they want and who they did not. Recruiting for fans is a place to speculate and occupy off season time. At least for me.

Only Bama locks if they want to win a NC. Even winning a NC for UA does not change where recruit is from. So still representing LA.

What does this even mean? So if a recruit states that he wants top play close to home, be the man at his position from day one and always talks about holding it down for his city and state, it means he's lying?

Stretching it a little bit but that is alright, but I was mostly referencing all the statements about where a kid is headed based on someone in the know or from some so called pay site expert that speculates. Or the one I love the best is the fan who could never imagine a kid would want to play for their rival and will stay home. Always my favorite.
My point is I never take everything as a fact in recruiting including said recruit that says it himself. How many times have we seen a recruit say he is 100% to a school and end up elsewhere.
Again for me until they sign the dotted line no one has a clue including the recruit most of the time.

just kidding But in regards to earlier discussion winning does help recruit. At least that seems logical to me. But what do I know I am just trying to give my 1 cent.
