This is why MSU fans will never demand anything better.

All you want is enough talent to beat Ole Miss. Where is the same fire that demands enough talent to beat LSU, an actual good Auburn, Bama, etc.

All I really care about is games I have been able to watch/witness in person in my lifetime not games played with leather helmets before integration.

Yeah -- there's something you are going to learn about it too as you build team depth. At some point, you have enough that you redshirt the vast majority of a class. That leaves an classification gap that makes you a young team in year 5 or 6 exactly like happened to us this year. Hence how MSU is bringing back 19-22 bowl starters -- and 38 of 44 in the 2-deep.

Whenever Ole Miss loses the Egg Bowl they turn to recruiting rankings to make themselves feel better.
Actually, the recruiting ranking felt pretty good last year too, Bunty. (After we destroyed Moffans dream team)

Gotta walk before you run.

Funny how your program thinks you are going to skip over the step that includes beating us regularly and jump straight to elite status.

Been waiting awhile for that one to happen, haven't you?

Vandy and Georgia recently lost to C-USA teams in the Liberty Bowl but ohh well.....

Yeah and they caught a lot of shite for it.

That's the way it goes.

Please....do tell exactly how a proper red-shirt program will leave you "young"(which you were not) in year 5...

Just because you had to start younger guys because the older guys weren't good enough to start....doesn't mean you're young. That means the older guys were apart of a shitty recruiting class.

MSU is literally the first example, ever, of having a "year 5 blip because of being a good program". Please....feel free to provide us some examples of a "programs clearly on the rise" that had a declining 4th and 5th year because of "red-shirt programs".

So 2014 is gonna be the year Mullen takes the next step ? If he doesn't and goes 7-6 and beats OM in Oxford will it matter ?

You've outranked us in recruiting something like 9 of the last 10 years. You will have to excuse us if we are not losing sleep over it at this point.

This has been beaten to death.

1. Nutt's recruiting was a false positive because of attrition, attitude, and development. Y'all loved to point out these facts before Freeze was hired and it met your agenda.

2. These last two classes we've had are so above and beyond any of those other Ole Miss classes that it is extremely foolish to group them together.

You know these things though

Actually we have our entire season to look at.

We beat Vandy on opening night in Nashville, we beat Texas on the road, we beat a top-10 LSU team at home... So we had a lot to get excited about this season.

We were literally the best win y'all had all season.

You're right....we should first worry about beating LSU for the first time in over a decade.

wait....

.
..
....

we're 3-3 against them recently. Are you saying they aren't an elite program? If so....then why has it been so difficult for MSU to beat them?

So Mullen's 4th best team had the same SEC record as his best team ?

Huge point. Our past two classes are the best on paper in school history. The past is irrelevent if we are doing things we've never done in the past
