Auburn is on the verge of landing a big time commitment. He is currently what we like to call a silent verbal.

Zeke Pike is deciding this week and I like Auburn's chances, but that is not the prospect I am talking about.

Could Auburn have two huge commitments around the corner?

Jared Lorenzen
As Pat Dye once called him "That fat arse quarterback".

Loved watching Lorenzen when he was at UK. The 7 overtime game between Matt Jones and Lorenzen was epic. Can't believe that Jared went that long without eating and Matt went that long without a Blunt.

I've seen AU homers compare this kid to Tebow out of HS and/or Jeff Driskel. Are these legit comparisons or just homers being homers?

If Pike's attitude is being figured in to the equation, then no, it is not a legit comparison.

What about his talent? We don't care about attitude down on the plains (see, e.g. Eric Smith, etc.).

The same Miles Fomby who works with ThaRinger and is graduating from the University of Alabama this year? That Miles Fomby? I'm not saying he is wrong - in fact, he's probably right - but I want to get him on the list of "Legit Recruiting Guys" before AU fans discount everything he says as just him being a "Bammer".

He is a Bama homer and it often skews his perspective, but he is more legit than some of the other recruiting homers IMO.

AU fans, Pike has expressed numerous times that he would like to play in a pro style offense. Do you guys think that not having that at Auburn will hurt? I know he likes it there a lot, and won't be surprised at all to see him give them his verbal, but I'm curious to know how much offensive scheme will play a role.

How is clemson doing this well in recruiting? What is the draw to a shitty town in south carolina where you will be mediocre and the peach bowl is like getting to go to the national championship.

Why are AU fans so skeptical of him? I could understand if he was giving bad news, ut didnt he tweet AU's picking up two big commits?

When a Bama homer says something positive is going to happen for Auburn, it is probably true. If Jeff Lee or Auburn's Scout page were reporting something positive for Bama, the same would apply.

Ray Drew hated the 3-4 supposedly as well.

Pike is committing to Auburn on Wednesday.

I was just providing my overall opinion of him based on his recruiting reports that I have seen over the past couple of years. My perspective is limited, as I don't follow him but only read what he reports when someone posts it on this or another site I do read. I have no idea one way or the other if this recent info is accurate or not.

I think you guys get him as well. Just found it interesting that he mentioned pro style so much. Good pick up in advance

It will be nice if he announces for us on Wed, but he is the type of recruit (big time out of state prospect with no long term reason for loyalty) that you don't count until the signature comes in.

I feel pretty confident anyway.

Tyler Wilson will probably monkey stomp AU's secondary again this year if it makes you feel any better.
