I can actually give something of a legitimate answer to this thread. As a Mizzou van living in Austin with College Station just a couple hours down the road, I've been to CS for plenty of games - four football games and four men's basketball games to be precise.
I can say that relative to fans of other Big 12 schools (who, granted, set the bar very low) A&M fans were the most welcoming, friendly, and sportsmanlike of any road trip I'd been on. (My SEC trips have been to Vandy and Ole Miss - for sake of comparison the Ole Miss fans actually razzed us a lot more than Aggies do, though the Grove was a blast). As long as you're not a "t-sip" (Aggie vernacular for Longhorn fan) you are going to have a great time there. It helped for me that Mizzou won far more often than they lost when I was there, I'm sure, but to me the real sign of how classy a fanbase is is how they handle defeat and A&M really shined there. Not only will they say "good game" and grab the door for you and buy you a beer and what not, we actually had a bunch of random Aggie strangers whose house was near where we had parked *invite us into their home after Mizzou had just beaten them* to hang out, drink beer, eat barbecue and watch the Texas-Texas Tech game on their big screen TV. They may have some nutso, cultish traditions, but part of that brainwashing groupthink is that they stress sportsmanship and being friendly to visitors amongst all their students and alums and it genuinely shows. Nebraska fans used to claim to be like that but were really just the same old spiteful trashtalking douchebags as you'd find at any other regular school. But A&M really does, for the most part, do its best to be good sports and make visting their stadium and town a fun experience for both sides.
Having said all that, I hope Mizzou continues to beat them down like a redheaded stepchild the same as we've been doing for the past 10 years.

Yes, we at Mizzou are masters at classing it up as well.

Mizzou seems to have cool fans that don't care what people think and a decent program. A&m fans are retarded and can't be taken seriously. The program they have is good though, just not football.

I love the fact that we live in a world where there is a market for this:
"BURN LAWRENCE AGAIN" THONG PANTIES FOR SALE

I want those panties for my wife. She'd look very nice in those!

well so far the majority of A&M and Missouri posters are either trolls are looking for bait....kinda like the A&M poster claiming that a dynasty is about to be born in A&M....oh man just look over these new guys(Mizzou and A&M) post and you'll see what I'm talking about....RANT OVER

My alternate thought for a Mizzou front-of-thong-slogan was "Lawrence - Not The Only Thing That Burns!" but the more I think about it, that would be in really poor taste. In every sense of the phrase.

I think you secretly really like mizzoukills and ATX. That is the only reason I can think of you to keep coming back for their trolling.

I think there are a lot of reasons for Mizzou fans to not hate A&M (when we aren't playing) and vice versa; we both hate the Big 12 and we both joined the SEC together......but A&M has always been the most hated team within Texas, regardless of how much we win or lose. I'd also say we get the most shite in the media (see our entire Big 12 exit process last year) of any Texas team.
Some of it is deserved (goofy Corps guys, Yell Leaders, constant underachieving in football), but some of it is completely agenda driven.
I think we will be hated in a different way by our SEC breathern than our former Big 12ers (mainly the Texas ones), but thats all part of the fun....The UT/BU/TT hatred was such that they wanted our campus burned to the ground. This intensified x10000 when we changed conferences.

Oh, we're all alike, are we? So, should I assume that all Bama fans are arrogant, ignorant, trash-talking, pot-stirring embarrassments to football fans everywhere?

This post will probably remain underrated, but your wit has not gone unnoticed.

texasaggie08 - I agree. And having the vantage point I do living in Austin, I have been seeing the true colors of UT and A&M for ten years now, and it was very easy to delineate who the good guys/class actors were as opposed to who the arrogant, whining, snot nosed, rude pricks were....and I mean it was easy to figure that out well before all the realignment stuff ever started. I kinda started gravitating toward the Aggie alums and fans in town almost immediately upon moving to the ATX and there was a reason for that. I will happily don my "Howdy Dammit" shirt (souvenir from an early trip to CS) if/when you guys ever take on the t-sips or any other Big 12 team again.

I don't think there's any animosity between Mizzou and A&M at all. That might be one reason it was hard to get a rivalry between us - we both tended to be scapegoats in conference bevo, had things in common...and generally had good will toward each other. I just watched the replay of the baseball championship, it was great to see the A&M fans in the stands cheering us on! Gotta admit though, I'm still shocked we won - I thought it would be y'all!
