THAT Tennessee team was solid?

the gator said that, not me. All I said was that 'at least you can say UT won the east'. They weren't a good team, I know that. But hell, Ohio State won a natty in 02 by beating shitty teams in the last minute of the game. They still won.

That UT game in 07 was awwwwwwwwwful, but it's not the worst of richt's career.

They backed into the East title thanks to Richt's biggest coaching disaster ever

We lost another SEC game that year, to a team that didn't win the east, at home.

I like Miles.

But the answer is 21-0.

After one of the most impressive runs in BCS history..

Since when is going 10-4 in the SEC and finishing #12 not good?

In the OP's defense, I always ignore a coach's first year at a program when evaluating their performance. There is far too much carryover from the previous coach to bash or praise them for whatever happens. I mean yeah, ultimately he has to coach them, but if you have kids that refuse to buy into a new coaches system because they liked the pushover of a pussy that was there before better and you are just trying to ride out the schedule and get to a point where you can plug some new kids in and shove the fricksticks down the depth chart so you can actually have a cohesive team that will work together and buy in then I dont hold it against you.

Plain and simple.

Promoting and, more importantly, retaining his pal Martinez at DC

Are you saying hiring Martinez in 01 was a mistake?

Given the stage and the circumstances, it was easily one of the worst losses in modern CFB history.

In 2007, "The Year of the Upset". Think about what you just asked me. A 4-loss season is not good. Tennessee finished 12 in a strange year; 2007 was unlike any other season in the BCS era. Everyone except Hawaii had 2 or more losses at season's end.
