Yeah, I had one - you kinda have to when it's your 1st time there - but I was quick to say "no cheese wiz." I've now been there a few times and, even though it was for work, always enjoy it.

If that game was played at Gilette then it would have made sense. But it was at Amherst which is like 90 miles away from Gilette.

There are probably several HS games going on in SEC country tonight that had a higher attendance (16,000) than that game.

State did the same thing with UMASS some years back. 2-1 and we played in Gillette Stadium. That is easily the nicest stadium I have ever been in for a game. State alums/fans in the NE were able to see us play. Probably had 6-7K there. Great experience for the players as well.
All in all it was Win-Win.

LSU was scheduled to play Rice at NRG in 2020 and I thought that sucked and an awful scheduling move. I know LSU has a ton of alums in Houston, so maybe it made a little sense.
