I actually thought about switching UK, and leaving Vandy in the east. Vandy made more sense geographically though.

Again, don't forget about the SECCG.
Basically you are saying, I know LSU gets off easy in the regular season, but we would still have to win the SEC CG. So would the winner of your east division, but they would have to run through a gauntlet to even get there.

You guys are way too hung up on the regular season, and not focusing on what an awesome SECCG would be generated in this scenario.

Florida
Georgia
South
Bama
Auburn
Miss St

West
Lsu
Arky
Aggies
Ole Miss
Play your division - 3 SEC games
One permanent opponent from each division - 6 SEC games
Rotate 1 from each division - 9 SEC Games
You never go more than 3 yrs without playing every team in the SEC.
2 game divisional playoff championship. Winner plays a playoff, against final 8 champions from other conferences in the same format.

Typical SECr response. You tell them "make your own" and they just bitch about how dumb yours is

I'm not saying that at all, because that would be a slap in the face to the rest of the west. You have to believe Arky will compete toe-to-toe with LSU, because they have. And I believe that TAMU and Mizzou will be very competitive in the SEC. And OM and State both will improve.

BUMP because mine makes the most sense:

You just switch Arky and UF from where they are now, then everything makes sense geographically and you don't have to split up the biggest SEC rivalry.
SEC Mason
Alabama
Auburn

LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Texas A&M
SEC Dixon
Arkansas
Georgia
Kentucky
Missouri
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

That's a great setup, but I have a question: would that be allowed under current NCAA rules?

DIVISION 1
Alabama
Tennessee
Auburn
Uga
Kentucky
Ole miss
Mississippi State
Division 2
LSU
Texas A&M
Florida
South Carolina

No permanent rivals. I know, 4 traditional powers in east, but gets rid of permanent rivals and tradition wont make Tennessee better.

pretty much what i had in mind, with a tweak here and there to your divisions.

Doesn't matter, Bama has the clout to make it happen.

Well considering we went 13-0 WITH both Alabama and Auburn in the division, I'd think people would realize we're not afraid to play either.
My divisions just reflect the current balance-of-power in the league.
