THe BIGGEST improvement any QB makes in an offensive system is b/w years 1 & 2. For some reason, some on this board believe that only applies to every QB EXCEPT JF.
Defenses will scheme/ adjust better with more time to prepare, but he's have more weapons/ wrinkles to work with also.
We'll see what happens...

Except this is the SEC, not the Big 12. What you were used to before isn't the same here. JFF took everyone by surprise, and at most teams only had a week (excluding teams with a bye before) to prepare, and that isn't enough for a guy like Johnny. Now with the whole offseason, teams will be ready. JFF will still do damage, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the better defenses make him look average.

True, but he is just moving over from RT. Is an All American taking his place too? By the way I am just asking here. aTm may be just fine at OL. I am not in the aTm is worse at OL camp.

Is 60% of your offensive line?

No, but the 40% that is proven is amongst the best in the country.

Plus we always have a great OL under Saban. (no matter the OL coach, don't think for a second that a change at that position even slightly hurts us.)

A&M may have a better OL this year, but it'll have a drop off compared to last year, just like ours will. Only difference is I think our pass pro improves while our run blocking takes a hit.

JFF likely wont put up as many numbers. But its because they will use RBs more.

What some people don't get is that even without JFF A&M has a good offense. The Defense this year will be a struggle. Last year they stepped it up.

But those lanes were there. Now JFF sees one and he is HOUSE. But A&M's O is loaded with 4 and 5 star and 1st round all sec talent.

A&M without JFF last year still had a salty O. But D would have led to issues. That OL had potentially 3 first rounders. You dont think they could have rammed it down peoples throats? and had a good passing game with Sumlin?

JFF is JFF - but A&M has players. That is why they beat Bama at home and a crappy Bama team held Texas Tech to what 10 points?

Its no gimmick if you got the horses. Its just scary.

This is what people forget about the buildup to last year. With the qb position being a question mark, our bread and butter was supposed to be a strong running game.

4 actually. If you don't think Jarvis Harrison (LG #51) is first-round material, then I don't know what to tell you.

The players with first-round material (by the time they leave) right now are:

Jake Matthews (First round 2014 draft)
Cedric Ogbuehi (First round 2014 or 2015 draft)
Jarvis Harrison (First round 2015 draft)
Joseph Cheek (First round 2016 draft)
Germain Ifedi (First round 2017 draft)

The reason I didn't include Mike Matthews is that centers aren't normally drafted that high.

I didn't include Aguilar or Wilson because we haven't seen them play yet.

I think JFF has a great season but may not be called upon to smash the All - Time SEC yardage record again. I could be wrong. But I the RB's showing up.

Ben Malena is a Beast.
Trey Williams 5 star - soph will explode
Brandon williams 5 star - I hear will explode.

Thats alot of explosions so maybe Johnny runs a little less and may throw a little less. If that happened he could still have a great year. If he does what is asked of him - that is great.

Fresh to watch out for Ricky Seals Jones. Freak. Goes from TE to slot to wr I am hearing - but hear he is a freak and sec ready as fresh.

The defense could blow the whole deal as in La Tech last year. But you never know we have decent talent that has been developing and if some young top100 DLs can provide depth A&M may be ok.

I expect at least 2 of the following players to start and ALL to play by season's end:

DE Daeshon Hall
DT Justin Manning
DT Isaiah Golden
DT Hardreck Walker
LB Reggie Chevis
LB Brett Wade
LB Jordan Mastrogiovanni
CB Noel Ellis
CB Alex Sezer
CB Tavares Garner
FS Jonathan Wiggins
SS Kameron Miles
