Wrong yet again.

Also - high school athletes can and do sign NIL deals. Go look at California so you can be wrong yet again. Good luck proving Nico signing an NIL in California helped recruit him to TN.

That booster still can’t say, “I’ll give you $50k to attend and star for my alma mater.”

No one is doing that. No one is that stupid.

You don’t get to set market value.

California is the only state that has legalized highschool NIL so far. The laws that will apply to him for schools will be based on the state laws of the school, not the student.

Especially since his deal would cross over between the 2.

You literally said: " So good luck penalizing a school for using it as a recruiting tool as everyone is following the same practice."

Yes - it’s not that everyone is doing something illegal so they won’t punish anyone. It’s that they are all wording contracts so they are 100% legal and within the current NIL structure.

Maybe a few frick ups at the very beginning without a smart legal team, but we are past that now.

Correct.

Do you think they don't know how much is normal for an appearance?

It doesn’t matter. You can set your own appearance price if people are willing to pay it, so be it.

Nope. His deal he signed in California has no ties to the University of Tennessee.

And it won’t even matter because once he enrolls at UT he is no longer a high school athlete anyway.

It would seem everyone except some LSU fans knows you don't have to screw over sick kids to win football games.

And now we are right back to my original statement.

It's because of peoples misconceptions like this that schools will continue to get in trouble under the NIL.

The deal was signed without being approved and it would be a deal that started before their college career.

Nope. It sounds like you are having trouble understanding what NIL actually is.

Approved by who?

He isn’t a UT student or an NCAA athlete. Lmao.

Let me get this straight, you think there is a Kelly blue book for NIL deals on what should be worth what?

That’s the whole point of NIL. The QB at a power 5 program has much more value than a long snapper.

When did Bama steal from Childrens Hospital to pay for players? I must have missed that.
